Dear Mayor Larson and Members of the Borough Council,
The Barnegat Light Taxpayers’ Association would like to share with you the preliminary results of our
survey on the Coast Guard property, which was part of the 2016 BLTA annual membership drive and
survey.
Some key points:
We wanted to share this information as quickly as possible, since plans are underway for
property modifications.
Respondents were permitted to express their own thoughts on what they would like to see in
that space.
We included comments from all residents’, not just members. There were over 10 non-
members who contributed.
At the end of March we received over 353 responses to our 2016 survey.
167 (51%) of the residents/taxpayers who responded commented on the Coast Guard property.
We will publish the entire survey results in June and present it to our membership at our June
General Meeting. We will also share that final tabulation with you at the June Council
Meeting.

353 residents/taxpayers have responded to date
327 of those residents/taxpayers (almost 93%) answered at least one survey question
