The theme of the capital campaign is Our Cathedral: One Faith, One People.The estimated cost of the proposed Cathedral Campus is $75 to $90 million.To date, the planned project has received $10 million in pledges from a small group of donors in a short period of time.

The place that the cathedral is being built is over an orphanage.It will take about 2 years to be built.At the first glance, the three-story building could be offices for lawyers or an insurance company.Most of the children in the orphanage were not orphans.

The Cathedral Campus straddles roughly 30 acres of rolling landscape west of down town Raleigh.The cathedral Campus also includes a separate Gathering Hall athletic fields, gardens, and lawns, private driveways , and structured parking.The design extends a nearly 2,000 year long tradition of art architect.


The estimated cost of the proposed Cathedral Campus is $75 to $90 million.To date, the planned project has received $10 million in pledges from a small group of donors in a short period of time.The proposed Cathedral Campus will be located on a 39-acre tract of land adjacent to Western Boulevard and Centennial Parkway that has historical significance for the Catholic Church in North Carolina.


Father Buckler was ordained in June.The diocese of Raleigh wanted to make a cathedral.I was so happy to hear Bishop Burbage announce this new cathedral.


2014 will be a historic year in the Diocese, with the final architectural design plans expected in the first quarter and ground breaking in the fourth quarter.63,500 families in the Diocese were served by Catholic charities.The construction is supposed to be completed by 2017.There are forty stained glass windows for the new cathedral.

The 85-year-old windows from Ascension from our Lord Catholic Church tell the story of Jesus life in vivid colored glass held together by lead.Bishop Burbidge is excited about the opportunity to preserve the beauty of the ascension windows.Were going to build what Gods people will let us build, he said.


Forty-two stained-glass windows are being removed from a church in Philadelphia.The Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral will seat 1,800 to 2.000 people.The Ascension windows are large-as tall as 17 feet 8 inches and more than 4 feet wide.
