RECORD YOUR LINES

Try recording your lines

and the lines of your

scene partner. Once you

can begin to read the

lines along with the

recording, try recording

only your scene partner’s

lines with space in

between for you to say

your lines.

PRACTICE EVERYWHERE!

Practice your lines while you

go about your daily activities.

Try them while driving your

car, doing laundry, or washing

dishes. Reciting your lines

amidst these everyday

distractions can help you to

make new discoveries within

the text and also help with

preparing for the unexpected.

PRACTICE WITH A NON-ACTOR

Try practicing your lines

opposite someone who

is not an actor. This will

give you a better idea of

the energy you might get

from the reader in your

audition. Be sure to

really listen and connect

to the person reading

opposite you.

RUN YOUR LINES BEFORE BED

Practicing your lines just

before sleeping can help

with recall. Be sure to run

your lines as soon as you

wake up as well!
