According to popular folk-lore, the first barbeque

in Australia was invented by a farmer who, in a moment

of sheer genius, decided to throw an old plow disc on a

fire and top it with sausages. Simple but effective. Further

pioneering strides occurred when a thick, steel plate was

propped up by concrete blocks over a fire. This building

site brainchild eventually evolved into the classic backyard

cement block barbeque, a sturdy beast that was impossible
