This barangay is located north of Depallan Island, east of Tres Reyes, west of the island of Culion and south of Binalabag Island. It has an approximated distance of 21.5 kilometer from the town proper. The original name of this barangay is “Demewit” from Demeterio- the first settler and Tagbanua tribe leader.

History

Barangay Decabaitot is unique in its setting. Its inhabitants reside at the higher portion

of the island more or less ten (10) meters above sea level. This barangay is located north of

Natural resources of this place are its tropical rainforest, pebbles, beaches, rocky

terrains and waterfall at the eastern part of the island. The main sources of livelihood of the

residents are fishing and seaweeds farming.
