BANYAN TREE SCHOOL, JAIPUR

A Science exhibition was organised at Banyan Tree School, Jaipur on 21-1-2018, Saturday. BTS Students of classes

V to IX displayed their innovative talents. All the Science and Mathematics models were displayed and explained by

students. Parents visited the exhibition and keenly interacted with students who exuded confidence while

explaining to them the various projects and activities .

Our School organized the cleanliness drive under Swatch Bharat Abhiyan program. The main purpose was to create awareness among students about cleanliness. Poster making and Slogan writing activities were conducted by the primary students. As a part of the cleanliness drive the students took part in keeping their school clean. This was a unique experience in which the students actively participated with great fervor and joy. The Cleanliness Ambassadors for the school comprising of 3 students and 1 teacher were also administered the oath of office.

The much awaited Annual Sports Day of Banyan Tree School,

Jaipur was held on Saturday 27 January 2018. The fantastic

turnout by the parents and the pleasant weather were the

motivational factors for the students. The day began with much

fervor as the oath was administered by the Sports Captain Ritu Chaudhary followed by an impressive March Past

by the four Houses. The opening dance Vande Mataram was a well co-ordinated effort with more than 80

participants on the ground keeping alive the patriotic fervor. The PT Drill and an energizing Aerobic Dance set the

tone for the rest of the events. Once the races began, the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for

the young athletes.

Students of classes Nursery to X competed class-wise in events including balloon race, sack race, obstacle races and

three legged race. The seamless benefits of Yoga were showcased by the students. The basic attacking and

defending skills in Taekwondo were the highlights of the day. The students also displayed their energy,

enthusiasm and team work through a wonderful pyramid formation.

A 100 m race and tug- of- war between the teachers and parents added excitement to the day’s event. The day

concluded with the grandparents along with the Principal congratulating the winners with medals and certificates.

The trophy for the winner house was jointly bagged by Prerna and Abhilasha House.

Abhilasha House was declared the Best Marching Contingent. A symphony by the school choir group brought a

musical end to the day’s event.

Regional level 2017-18 Students of class VII-IX of the Banyan Tree School, Jaipur visited the Regional level CBSE Science Exhibition 2017-18 on 9 January, 2018. The Science models on various concepts like Recombinant DNA Technology, Techno City, health and hygiene, Self adjusting step ladder, Waste water treatment plant, Archimedes principle, Factory, AC etc. were found interesting and thought provoking as they were related to the everyday concepts in Science and Mathematics. The experience was a great learning opportunity for the students who showed their eagerness to create working models to stimulate their spirit of scientific and critical thinking.
