In 1992, to remove an environmental threat from the waste stream, Bannock County in

conjunction with the City of Pocatello and the City of Chubbuck, began collecting

household hazardous material.

• Number of participants 1993 - 307 $ 37,917 Cost per Household $ 124.00

• Number of participants 1994 - 639 $ 40,748 Cost per Household $ 64.00

At the Landfill for the first time

• First event held at the Bannock County Landfill – Saturday, June 17th

• 357 Households

• $37,424 ($12,000 not included that was spent to build our permanent storage facility)
