Bangladeshi Currency

The Bangladeshi Taka is the official currency of Bangladesh.

One Taka The one taka coins come in silver and golden colors. The front shows the national emblem.

The reverse of the one taka coin has four people with the slogan “Planned family – food for all.”

Five Taka

The front of the five taka coin also shows the national emblem. The reverse of the five taka coin has a picture of the Jamuna Bridge.

Ten Taka The front of the ten taka note shows the National Emblem on the left, and the National Mosque (Bait-UL-Mukarram) on the right.

The back of the ten taka note shows the National Parliament Building.

Twenty Taka The twenty taka note shows the Choto Sona Mosque on the right hand side.

The reverse shows a picture of four men washing jute in water next to a paddy field.

Fifty Taka The fifty taka note has the National Parliament Building on the obverse.

The back side depicts the Bagha Mosque in Rajshahi. One Hundred Taka The front of the one hundred taka note features the National Monument and the “Shaat Gambuj Masjid” (a mosque with 60 domes).
