– Pacific Rim is “Ring of Fire” where geological hazards are concentrated

– Review and share knowledge on various aspects of Earthquakes, Tsunamis and Volcanic phenomena and their hazards around the Pacific Rim

– Provide interdisciplinary arena for natural science, civil engineering and social sciences

– Discuss and propose effective countermeasure for mitigating geological hazards
