    To SAGADA: Take GL / LIZARDO BUS, (304-5994) non-air-con bus, at DANGWA TRANCO terminal,

    Rajah Soliman street behind Baguio Center mall. FARE: P220, departure time is 6:30 am until 1pm every

    hour. Travel time is 6 to 6.5 hours passing through Halsema highway made of concrete, asphalts, and

    gravel and under repair roads. This traverses the highest point (7400 ft above sea level) and the coldest

    point in the Philippine highway system, sometimes 0 degree C, and panoramic view of the grand Cordillera

    mountain range, MONTANA DEL ORO

    From Sagada to Banaue via Bontoc: Take Jeepneys (parked near the Municipal Hall) leave Sagada from 6-9 am

    Every 20 minutes last trip is at 12 nn, for Bontoc, 18 km. 45 minutes ride. Fare is P45. Transfer to another

    jeep (beside Bontoc Municipal Hall) for Banaue, Ifugao, departures between 8am to 1pm daily of about 2-3

    hours ride up the scenic Talubin, Bay-yo, and Mt. Polis road. Fare is about P90.

    WALKING TOUR AT SAGADA, MT. PROVINCE

    SAGADA- 146 km, 5 - 6 hours bus ride from Baguio or 3 hours from Banaue, Ifugao Province. AFTER BREAKFAST,walk to the municipal hall to register. There, local guides are available to assist and register as you pay an entrance

    (environmental fee) of PHP 0.00 to finance their tourism projects. One should walk with a local guide to show routeto the cultural sights and safe paths to interesting areas. Choose your preferred tour then walk with your guide to

    Pass the Stone (Anglican) Church before walking up to the pine forested limestone cliff, shout and hear your voice

    shouting back at Echo valley. Dont be surprised if you hear chainsaw motors cutting trees, as these are private

    properties. Pine trees in the community are privately planted and owned.

    Shop for the original hand woven products at Sagada Weaving for souvenirs that will last. Before you continue, we

    suggest you bring your snacks and trek to Kiltipan, or Banga-an / Aguid Rice terraces, (30mins) to behold a vistaof another stairway of rice terraces. Take your time and commune with nature, sit, enjoy the mountain pine scented

    mountain air accompanied with the ripple of the water down the rice fields below. Remember to take back yourtrash and if you want to swim with river nature do it at Bokong falls, a natural swimming pool that drains to the

    underground river. Return to the lodge, tired but fully satisfied! Want some more? Try the sunset view at Banao

    (danum) Lake, (best during summer (March - May months) suggest you hire a jeep (30min walk) following the

    road to Besao.

    safekeeping.

    7. Taking or using drugs is strictly not allowed.

    8. Observe the 10:00 PM curfew. (for guests, time to sleep)

    WALKING TOUR: BONTOC, MT. PROVINCE (Overnight suggested)

    Bontoc- 45minutes ride (18km) from Sagada, 2 hours ride (70km) from Banaue, Ifugao Prov.

    After the must see Bontoc museum, ride to Mainit Hot Spring, (15km/ 2:30pm/ 1hour/ P35 one way only) a

    place where time forgot. A river of flowing hot water, one smells the sulfuric scent from the ever-moving hot

    springs. The peoples resistance to industrialization retained its ethnicity. Have a hot spa or stay overnight, or take

    next ride or walk to Malegcong rice terraces (7km from Bontoc). Experience the thrill of balancing as you trek thevast area of stonewalled rice terraces. The experience will make you come back for more.
