của Chúa Giêsu nghe rất là thực, rất an tâm, rất an
toàn vì “lời của Chúa là thần khí và là sự sống” (Gn
6:63)

hen people see me hanging out with
Thiếu Nhi either at Sinh Hoạt, church or
camp, they often ask, “How long have you
been in Thiếu Nhi Cha?”
I would proudly say, “I am the TNTT lifer!”
“What is a TNTT lifer?” you ask.
A TNTT lifer is a person who has been in Thiếu
Nhi Thánh Thể for all of his/her life. He/she is a
person who started from Ấu Nhi and continued to
be a Huynh Trưởng. He/she is a person who attends
most sa mạc training camps. A lifer is a person
whose blood has been infused with TNTT’s spirit.
A lifer is a person who has been indoctrinated with
TNTT thoughts and feelings. So, I am so proud to
be called a TNTT lifer because I fulfill all the
standard requirements of being a Thiếu Nhi.
In the past months, I have a chance to be involved
more on the national level as the Phó Tổng Tuyên
Úy Nghiên Huấn Trung Ương and more important-
ly, to be in collaboration with people around the
world in preparing for the upcoming Eucharistic
Centennial Celebration in Rome. I have questioned
what it means to be TNTT lifer. Am I truly a TNTT
lifer? Does my life really represent the spirit of
TNTT? Am I only a TNTT lifer on “the outside” or
truly my whole being is filled with TNTT spirit?
Am I truly a TNTT person with heart and mind,
and soul completely dedicated to Jesus Christ, my
soul mate and my Big Brother?
The feast of Corpus Christi in which we cele-
brate as Phong Trào’s “Birthday,” also invites
us to reflect about our commitment to be a dis-
ciple of Christ – A TNTT LIFER. Are we truly
Disciples of Christ in our heart and soul or just
the outside requirements – TNTT uniform? If
you look at all three readings for the feast of
the Body and Blood of Christ, you would no-
tice the common theme – Commitment.
In the first reading from the book of Exodus,
Moses mediated the covenant that God put be-
fore his chosen people. The covenant serves as
link between God and the Israelites. It is a re-
minder that God is committed to protect, care
and love his chosen people while they are
committed to follow the law of the Lord and
put them into practice. They are God’s Chosen
People. The second reading is taken from the
letter to the Hebrew where it reiterates the
commitment of God to his people not only by
the blood of an animal but by the most pre-
cious Blood of all, the Blood of Christ Jesus
Himself, the Son of God. The Gospel illus-
trates once again the fully committed God who
in the person of Jesus celebrates his last meal
with his disciples.
The feast of the Body and Blood of Christ of
2015 is a new starting point for all members of
CORPUS CHRISTI 7
TNTT family. It doesn’t matter if you are a TNTT lifer
or a person who just joined Thiếu Nhi, we are called to
the same commitment – to be Christ for others. A
TNTT lifer is no longer a person who has been in Thiếu
Nhi for an extended period of time, but a TNTT lifer is
a person who commits himself or herself for Christ,
who is willing to live that commitment in the form of
the Eucharistic Day, and who will serve the brothers
and sisters with passion for the love of Christ. The feast
of today is also an invitation for all of us who haven’t
fully committed to be a TNTT lifer or who just commit
only in form of outside standard. The feast of Corpus
Christi is the feast of commitment – God to humanity
and us to Christ. Let us together come forth and commit
ourselves to Christ so we can proudly say: I AM A
TNTT LIFER!

8 CORPUS CHRISTI
n behalf of the National Executive Com-mittee, with warmest regards and deep-est gratitude, we would like to congratu-late all Chaplains, Chaplains Assistants,
Youth Leaders, and all VEYM members blessed and joyful Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ. May the love of the Eucharist forever bless each and every one of you. Many years ago, at the sacred moment when Jesus instituted the Eucharist at the Last Supper, He also established the Universal Church. With these Words, He said,
Dearest Chaplains, Chaplain Assistants, Youth-Leader Trainers, Youth-Leaders, and all Seedlings, Search, Companions, and Knights of the Eucharist:
“THIS IS MY BODY, WHICH WILL BE GIVEN FOR YOU; DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME…THIS CUP IS THE NEW COVENANT IN MY BLOOD, WHICH WILL BE SHED FOR YOU” (LUKE 22:19-20). Jesus gave the disciples a new mission that al-lowed them to bond together and become a com-munity. Therefore, through the Eucharist, the Church was established; through the Body and Blood of Christ, the Church became one; through His death, the Church extends their arms to the world and the history of mankind. In His book, Jesus of Nazareth II, Pope Benedict XVI referred to the Eucharist as a visible process of gathering.
CORPUS CHRISTI 9
In each all continents, nations, cities and all lo-cations, Catholics join and unify with the Living God through the Eucharist. The Church comes into being through the Eucharist. The Vietnamese Eucharistic Youth Movement is no different than that of the Universal Church. Vitality, unity and the mission of the VEYM were founded upon the Eucharist. If we do not regard the Eucharist as the summit and center of our operations, events and trainings, regretfully, one day the VEYM will no longer exist. With that spirit, the National Executive Committee earnestly invites all members of the VEYM to actively participate and be in united together through Living the Eucharistic Day, so we may grow stronger in spirit and faith. Simultaneous-ly, we encourage you to organize activities or campaigns to teach and encourage youths to also Live the Eucharistic Day. May the Christ in the Eucharist, through the in-tercession of Mary, forever keep you and your family under their love and grace.

iving in the Vietnamese Eucharistic Youth
Movement (VEYM) is a tremendous privi-
lege. As VEYM members, we are called
to and have the responsibility to live
our faith and to be union with Jesus daily,
even if attendance of the Holy Mass is una-
vailable. The lifestyle in which I spoke of is
LIVING THE EUCHARISTIC DAY.
LIVING LIFE,
VEYM STYLE!
Parallel to the three periods (morning,
noon/evening and night) of the day, the
Eucharistic Day consists of three mo-
ments that are centered on offering, just
as the Eucharist is centered on the ulti-
mate offering. Each day begins with us
accepting that new day as a gift from
God and offering it all to him. The peak
of the day occurs when we are united
sacramentally or spiritually with Jesus in
the ultimate offering. At the end of the
day, we look back on the offerings
made, and with sorrow, we asks for for-
giveness for the things in the day we
offered that are not worthy. The life-
CORPUS CHRISTI 11
style truly make life worth living because
it gives us meaning and purpose beyond
all other.
That meaning and purpose is no other
than the concrete kinship that Jesus, who
is God and King of kings, invites us to
have with him. Through the Sacrament of
the Eucharist, we are blessed with the
presence of the one true God. When we
receive the Eucharist, we are united whol-
ly to the Divinity of Christ in the most di-
rect way possible, that is, through the
very Body and Blood of God. When we
are united with the source of life, the Eu-
charist, our corruptible natures are trans-
formed, and we become holy.
It is specifically for this lifestyle that I
chose to always and forever be a VEYM
member and a Catholic. On this Feast of
Corpus Christi, I invite all VEYM members
to live this lifestyle, the Eucharistic Day,
and to do so daily. Let us offer all to God!
Every moment of the day, regardless if it
is mundane, trivial or insignificant, all have
great importance in God’s eyes when they
are accompanied with the perfect offering
of Jesus.
Long live VEYM!!! !!! !!

The way i would help someone believe in the Eucharist is by taking them to adoration and just have them sit and talk to God. That's the way I began to believe in the Eucharist and adoration is such an intimate moment. I would also show them through music because music is the one of the ways to express anything. Christian music + adoration = the perfect time to just let everything go and clear your mind so that you can bear God whispering at the back of your head. All of this was a success for me
so I feel like it would definitely work for someone else.

“They would have to open their hearts first. We cannot change the minds and opinions of others by words alone. They must be willing to listen and appreciate what the Eucharist stands for. I think one way to help others believe in the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist is to remind ourselves that just because we can't see something, doesn't mean IT is not real or IT is not there. Jesus is 100% present in the Eucharist as he was the one that instituted the blessed sacrament of Holy Eucharist where the object we see, the bread and wine becomes something we can't see - His own flesh and blood.

Many other churches have their own 'Eucharist' (particularly those off-shoots closest to the Catholic Church such as the Anglicans, Episcopalians, Lutherans, etc) so what makes the Catholic Eucharist the real Jesus, truly and substantially present? It is because the Catholic Church is the only church that can claim a valid line of apostolic succession all the way back to Christ himself who instituted the Sacra-ment of Holy Orders at the Last Supper upon his apos-tles. To this day the Catholic Church retains that valid line, as Matthew so eloquently puts it in his Gospel chapter 16, verse 18. It is a sacrifice on our own part because what others believe to be merely a symbol of Christ is truly Christ himself, and we have upon our-selves the burden of defending this so called "symbolic bread" against the heresies and desecrations. The early Church didn't have much in terms of Sacred Scripture so they took upon the devotion to the Holy Eucharist. Many including our ancestors died for the right to cele-brate the Eucharist. St. Clare of Assisi defeated an entire army with the Eucharist.”
Tr. David Vuõ Ñoaøn Aneâ Thaønh, LÑNS, MTN
I can help others believe in the real
presence of Jesus in the Eucharist by educating
others about how it is an absolute blessing that
we are able to be present with our Lord when the Eucharist is
present. I could also teach them that we are
able to take the Eucharist with us even
when we are not present at adoration by keeping Him in our hearts.
Tr. Christopher Voõ Ñoaøn Thaêng Thieân, MTN
“I would take them to church and buy them a bible because that’s how I came to believe.” “Invite them to go to church and pray with me.” “Being nice to others and showing them God.” “Telling them about the bible, the good news, and the life of Jesus.” “Bring them to church and also do good works of mercy with them.” “Pray for them. Read them the bible and try to open their hearts.” “Teach the kids about TNTT and to continue to goals of TNTT.”
“I can tell them what I believe, see, and feel when I am in the presence of the Eucharist. Maybe if they feel the same thing but never realized it.” “Spreading the Word of God and showing them that He loves us. I can also tell them if we eat this, we will have eternal life wit God.” “To pray a lot and go to church every Sunday.” “Showing them the love and faith that I have for Jesus.” “Trying to inspire others.” “Show them how much better it feels to have taken the Eucharist and eat It. It feels like happiness is filling your body. Show them how many people believe.

và in ấn Chương Trình Thăng Tiến Đoàn Sinh,

HLV/Tr. Maria Uoâng Phöôïng, has returned to our beloved Je-sus. To those who are blessed to have met and worked with Tr.
Phuong, you will agree that she is a perfect example of un-withering faith. Despite the malignant illness she
has been battling with her entire life that took a significant toll on her body, through prayer, through the
sacrament of the Eucharist and faith in the divine mercy heart of Jesus, she always believed and rightly so, her body is a holy sanc-tuary for the most Holy Trinity Father-Son-Holy Spirit. She told us once, the world may fail her, but never will God let her down. What a beautiful display of Christ's faith. Let us all pray and cel-
ebrate her life. May God delivers her to eternal life. Amen.
