We take re-tired American Flags with embroidered 2 inch Stars, remove the Stars, put the Star in a pouch with a statement the reads: “I am part of our American flag that has flown over a home in the U.S.A. I can no longer fly. The sun and winds have caused me to become tattered and torn. Please carry me as a reminder that You are not forgotten.” The Stars are given freely to any soldier or veteran that we meet, or are mailed to them. Stars are given to Veteran Homeless Shelters so those Veterans know that we respect them and they are not forgotten. Stars are given to our Wounded Warriors as a Thank You for what they have endured. Stars are given to our Veterans in Nursing Homes and Veteran Hospitals. Volunteers are needed to help create these Stars. Families and friends need to contact us so we can share the Stars with their loved ones. Donations are gratefully accepted to help deter the costs of supplies and postage. More informa-tion can be found at www.StarsForOurTroops.org or contacting [email protected]. (A)

is a Blue tick Coon Hound, about 5 yrs. old. He is neutered and up to date on shots (of course) and has tested neg for Distemper, Parvo and Lyme. He is missing an eye and has shrapnel in his neck. These conditions are stable and he has been living without complications for 4 yrs. He would love a
home with lots of room to explore. He reportedly did well with an electric fence in a rural setting but less so in a neighborhood with more distractions.
is a 4 yr. old 12 lb. orange lap cat! He is neutered, very affectionate and super sweet. He is good with other cats but may not be a fan of dogs.
is a very sweet 8 yr. old beagle mix who is good with cats and Ok with dogs. She easily attaches to adults

THE END HAS come upon the four corners of the land! Now the end is upon you, I will unleash my anger against you and judge you according to your conduct and lay upon you the consequences of all your abominations. Ezechiel 7:2. On the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall, the light of the moon will be like that of the sun and the light of the sun will be seven times greater like the light of seven days. Isaia 30:26. Therefore I gave them statutes that were not good, and ordi- nances through which they could not live. I let them become defiled by their gifts, by their immolation of every first born, so as to make them an object of horror. Ezechiel 20:25-26. Christian, rec- ognize your dignity and now that you share in God’s own nature, do not return to your former base condition by sinning. Remember who is your head and of whose body you are a member. Never forget that you have been res- cued from the power of darkness and brought into the light of the Kingdom of God. St. Leo the Great. Sermo21 in nat. Dom, 3: Pl 54, 192C.

Pete Bardunias, President/CEO, the Chamber of Southern Saratoga County
The Internet Revolution Continues
Are you old enough to remember when the only way to get instant information was to look in a big fat book called the Yellow Pages, then use this funny looking gizmo with a round dial, letters and numbers on it to talk to a person on the other end and ask ques-tions? Or get in the car, drive to the library and search through Dewey Decimal catalogs and mountains of books? For some that’s a fond memory, for others a flashback to frustration and lengthy time to research important subjects. The Internet has fundamentally changed everything over the past 20 years. We can even get our car doors unlocked over the Web now, and the ride is just beginning. If you're wondering where things are going, please consider attending a seminar co-hosted by Suc-cess Magazine, Success PR and the Chamber of Southern Saratoga County on Wednesday, October 17, 4:30PM at the Hilton Garden Inn in Clifton Park. Dr. Alain Kaloyeros of Albany Nanotech will be the keynote speaker as a group of experts discuss how "the Future of Marketing on the Internet is Now". Admission is $45 for chamber members, $65 for non-members. Also on that day is the Women in Business Fall Luncheon featuring Anne Saile. As the epicenter of Tech Valley, southern Saratoga County is the focus of many initiatives to build a high
tech economy and a brighter future for our children. Our communities offer a diverse array of businesses and attractions in a compact area... Within 20 mins from my Clifton Park home are shopping, restaurants, historic sites, airports, railways, waterways, farms, manufactur-ing plants, golf courses, and thousands of independent businesses. Each one needs a uniquely-tailored market-ing program to advertise to the public, and the Internet makes such customized applications possible. For de-tails about the October 17 events visit southernsaratoga.org/events or call 518-371-7748.
Albany, NY (July 31, 2012) –Do you have a love for animals and want to support a great local cause? Join with the Gold-stein Auto Group and bring your empty bottles and cans to a Goldstein dealership and support the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society. The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society’s “Empties For Animals” campaign helps support the mission of the organization, includ-ing sheltering, adoption, education, advocacy and the preven-tion of cruelty to animals. This year’s goal is to raise $125,000, in honor of the Society’s 125th Anniversary. To reach the goal, the Goldstein Auto Group will need to collect more than 1,500,000 cans and bottles. The 2012 "Empties For Animals” campaign has raised over $46,000 during the first half of this year, an increase of $12,000 or 34% over the same period last year. The 2011 campaign raised a total

of more than $74,000 and collected 925,000 cans and bottles. Volunteers sorted all those bottles and cans, based on the originating distributor, which in turn generated $.08 per can or bottle instead of the regular $.05 redemption fee paid at stores. Monies from the program were used to benefit the more than 6,500 animals cared for by the Society in 2011. “We are very pleased to continue our partnership with the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society and support the 2012 “Empties For Animals” campaign. We would like to thank all of our custom-ers and the members of the community who have generously donated to such a worthy cause,” said Alan Goldstein, President of Goldstein Auto Group.
