    he

presented it to the Elders and the

    Pastor

    explaining

    the

    pros and

    of each

place. Thei rde s ir e was to build the

    church

    atthe

    top of

    the

    hill but

    our

    people

    had

    already filled

    the top of

    the

hill with thei r homes .

    The

    Elders

    decided

    to

    move one

    family and tear down their

    house

    fo r

    t he chu rch

    agreed

    with

    their decision. A week or two p as se d, n o

    still

    wonder what

    was going

    on . After the

    beginning

    of

    the

    thi rd week,

    Mike

    was

    approached by the

    Pastor

    and a sked

    why

    we had no t started.

    Mike

    told

    him we were

    waiting

    on

    th e

    Elders

    to

    move

    the family.

    The

    Pastor

told u s t ha t we were to do

    it because

    we were

    building

    the

    church. We said

    that that was the Elders

    -esponsibility. Well,

    the

    church

    will

    not be

    built

    on the to p

    of

    the

    hill We

    have

    gone

    have explained the new

    position

    by saying that

    we, Mike

    and I did not

    like

    the

    other

    position.

    They

    want

    us to be

    the Chief.

    We

find thi s a tt itude

    in many

    areas,

    bu t

    we

    cannot accept it If we

    become th e

    Chief then

    we

    cannot

    b e t he

    Friend.

    Instead of

    making the way

    will in fact

    be

    blocking it

    altogether.

    We

    want the

    bride

    to

    be

    prepared fo r

    the wedding

    and

    to be wholly

acceptable to the Bridegroom. When the

    Bridegroom

    comes

    we

    want the

    bride

    to

    know

    Him.

    We

    must be c ome

    Since a t tha t t im e n ot al l t h e s c h o ol s h ad

    We

    In

    we had 85 people

    the Lord.

happened over a nine week period. These

    r

    of course

    are

    just

    fo r our

    use

    happened here as a guide,

    we could

    ha

    many as 350 new Christians

    as

    a result of thi

    of our TEE program.

    I want

    to

    thank you fo r your

    I

    was

    worried

    about

    what

    shared with you,

you prayed and we can se

    results

    of our work in

    We

    Will living in Bukavu

    require us

    question

    we are still
