Bible Covered BridgeA scenic 30-minute drive from the park, past

lovely 1850-1860s homes, through tree shaded country roads, and by picturesque farmsteads will deliver you to one of Tennessees four remaining covered bridges. Long since obsolete, the charm, mystique and aesthetic appeal of the covered bridge holds universal appeal. Built in 1923 for the E.A. Bible family by A.A. McLean, a self-taught engineer, the bridge spans Little Chucky Creek.

Providing road access to the Bible family farm, in 1940 the Greene County Court purchased the bridge for $750.00 to make the bridge and farm road accessible to the public. A 1970s remodel of the bridge altered its historical appearance, but the truss system remains intact, as well as the original wooden and steel truss members, concrete substructure, and what is thought to be the original floor.

Designated an historical structure in 1975, restoration of the bridge was completed in 2004. Sited in a small park-like setting, a roadside pull-off with parking area provides access. Follow Highway 321 South out of Greeneville to Highway 349, turn right and go about 12 miles. The bridge will be on your right.

Margarette FallsAwaiting you on one of the most scenic hikes in Greene County, TN

is the popular and beautiful fan-shaped Margarette Falls. A moderate to strenuous hike, the trail snakes its way through impressive rock formations, over and around small waterfalls and cascades, and across shallow creek crossings as it makes its way through the gorge in the Nolichucky/Unaka Ranger District. In order to make your stay and the stay of other campers a happy experience, please observe the following Friendly Camping Practices. All campers and visitors must register at the office before

entering the Park. Check-Out time is 11:00 am. Quiet Hours are from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am. Noise should

be kept at a minimum during this time. Please respect your neighbors privacy.

Pets are welcome, but they must be on a leash and cleaned up after at all times. Please do not leave pets unattended.

Please do not park on grass or vacant campsites. Use roadways to travel to and from your campsite. If space is needed for extra vehicles, overflow parking is available.

Washing vehicles/RVs or mechanical repairs (including changing oil and lubing) is prohibited.

Generators of any kind are prohibited. Trash cans are distributed throughout the Park. Grey water may not be drained on the ground.

An airtight hose connection is required for sewer hookup. No open fire at campsite allowed please use barbecue

grills. Firearms, lethal weapons, fireworks, slingshots, pellet or BB

guns are PROHIBITED.

The owner or management of this Park is not responsible for loss, damage or claims for damage to property

of campers due to fire, theft, accidents or other causes.Disregard for any of the above rules will be sufficient reason

for terminating a campers stay without refund.The management reserves the right to change these rules

as circumstances require.Thank you for your time in reading these guidelines.
