10. Study the following statement. Kaji pernyataan berikut. An alloy is harder than its pure metals. Aloi lebih keras daripada logam tulennya. (a). Suggest one hypothesis to investigate the above statement. Cadangkan satu hipotesis untuk menyiasat pernvataan di atas. (b) Brass in an alloy containing copper. Using a copper block, brass block, steel ball and other apparatus, describe an experiment to test your hypothesis in 10(a) based on the following criteria: Loyang ialah aloi yang mengandungi kuprum. Dengan menggunakan blok kuprum, blok loyang, bola keluli dan radas lain, huraikan satu eksperimen untuk menguji hipotesis ada di 10(a) berdasarkan kriteria berikut:

12. (a) Name two phenomena that cause by pollutants and their effects on environment and human being. Namakan dua fenomena yang disebabkan oleh bahan pencemar dan kesannya pada alam sekitar dan manusia.

(b) The uses of petroleum, natural gas and coal in vehicles and factories in large quantities will release pollutants such as sulphur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide and carbon monoxide into the air. These substances will give negative effects to the environment and human being.

Penggunaan petroleum, gas asli dan arang batu pada kenderaan dan kilang-kilang dalam kuantiti yang besar akan membebaskan banyak bahan pencemar seperti sulphur dioksida, nitrogen dioksida dan karbon monoksida ke udara. Bahan-bahan ini akan memberi kesan pada manusia dan alam sekitar.
