Communications and Engagement Public Consultation Activities

NHS Highland is engaging with service users, members of the public, staff and partner agencies on the need to change the way some services are organized in Badenoch and Strathspey. This includes looking at options for location of hospital services. This is prompted by the poor condition of the hospital buildings, challenges to provide in-patient medical cover out-of-hours and the need to consider where best to invest resources and services to meet the future needs of the population. Activities, as part of the formal public consultation, are set out in the plan below. This plan builds on an earlier communications and engagement plan which guided the case for change, options appraisal process and development of consultation materials. It should be noted that the independence referendum's purdah period starts on 21 August and the referendum is on 18 September 2014.
