INTRODUCTION

Learn how to setup Simens VAV settings




Step 1 — Enter Advanded Menu

ONLY AUTHORIZED MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL SHOULD ENTER ADVANCED MENU ANDMAKE CHANGES

Picture 2. Press Advanced to enter Advanced menu

Picture 3. Enter Admin Password Menu appears

Use the numbers to enter 4 digit factory preset pin. Number is being displayed in the blue ribbon

Press DEL button to delete incorrect number

Press OK to confirm input




Step 2 — Enter BACnet VAV Menu

Step 3 — BACnet VAV Menu

Press the number to enter BACnet VAV external controller ID you want to control

A single Codis device can control up to six BACnet VAV controllers

ID can be anywhere between 0 and 4194303, and should match the one previously set in theSiemens VAV controller

You should not have two same IDs in the same table

The communication between Codis and the BACnet VAV controller will not start until you set it toEnabled

If the setting is Disabled, the ID button looks empty, for better overview

Press Save to confirm changes and start the communcation

Press Settings for each VAV controller to see and control his status. You will enter a new screen,BACnet VAV Settings (picture 2)




Step 4 — Siemens or Belimo

Press Device Type button to select if the BACnet VAV device is either Siemens or Belimo

Depending on the choice, the Screens BACnet VAV 2 / 2 will change. Different options will beavailable for each device




Step 5 — Siemens 1 Settings - part 1

Actual / Nominal flow - READONLY - display the values of actualand nominal flow read from SiemensVAV controller

Actual position - READ ONLY -displays the value of current positionof the VAV damper (can be from 0%to 100%)

Unit switch - WRITE ONLY (doesnot read value) - sets the units weuse, and converts the valuesimmediately.

Must press Save button to send toVAV controller




Step 6 — Siemens 1 Settings - part 2

Min Flow Vmin - WRITE ONLY -sets the minimum flow VAVcontroller will will allow through thedamper. Value is shown inABSOLUTE value in the unitselected (e.g. m3/h), NOTPRECENTAGE

Max Flow Vmin - WRITE ONLY -sets the maximum flow VAVcontroller will allow through thedamper. Value is shown inABSOLUTE value in the unitselected (e.g. m3/h), NOTPRECENTAGE

Use + and - buttons to change thevalues. Press the number forkeyboard input of the values

Press Save to send these settingsto the VAV device




Step 7 — Siemens 2 settings - part 1

Override control - WRITE ONLY -sets the VAV controller to one offollowing states: Open (100% inabsolute position), Close (0% inabsolute position), Go To Min (0%in adapt position), Go To Max(100% in adapt position), Stop (oncurrent position). Default setting fornormal work should be Off

Opening direction - WRITE ONLY -direction in which the VAV controllerdamper moves. Can be Normal CW(Clockwise) or Inverted CCW(Counter-clockwise). Installersshould set this value so that whenVAV is open it corresponds to 100%and when closed it corresponds to0%

Positioning - WRITE ONLY - canbe Abs Position (Absolute position)and Adapt Position (adapt)

Absolute position shows thecurrent value

Adapt position searches for theminimum and maximumreachable position and proclaimsthose positions 0% or 100%

Bus termination - WRITE ONLY -can be Off or On

Press Save to confirm changes andset to VAV controller




Step 8 — Siemens 2 settings - part 2

Device Jammed - READ ONLY -shows the state of damper. If thereis a block in the damper preventing itto reach the desired position errorhere will appear

Yes - if there is a blockage in thedamper trying to do so. If theblockage is on purpose orunaviodable, we recommendputting the Positioning value toAdapt position to aovid gettingthe error

No - no error

Pressure sensor state - READONLY - shows the state of thesensor reading the pressure - theflow - in the VAV controller. Valuecan be:

No Error - everything is okay

Wrong Connect - the tubes forpressure sensing are eitherdisconnected or oppositlyconnected. We recommendchecking the connection




Step 9 — Belimo 1 Settings - part 1

Actual / Nominal flow - READONLY - display the values of actualand nominal flow read from SiemensVAV controller

Control Source - READ ONLY -reads from Belimo device what isthe source of Setpoint. Must read"BUS"

Actuator command - WRITE ONLY- can be None, Adaptation, Test,Reset

Bus termination - READ ONLY -can be Off or On.

Press Save to confirm changes andset to VAV controller




Step 12 — Belimo 2 settings - part 2

Device Status - READ ONLY -shows the state of device. If there isa block in the damper preventing itto reach the desired position errorhere will appear

Error or No Error

Actuator Status - READ ONLY -Error message if Device Status is inError

No Error - everything works ok

Act. jam - Actuator cannot move

Gear fault - Gear disengaged. Nomovement

Travel inc - Mechanical travelincreased.
