(5) BFA students will reveal on graduation a high level of professionalism

Increase participation in competitive exhibitions by requiring students to enter at least 3 juried exhibitions before graduation. The measurement will shift from the Capstone Course to advanced studio courses

Encourage students to join and participate in professional organizations specific to their discipline (e.g., OVAC, IAO, AIGA, OAEA)

Sponsor professional development workshops

Invite alumni working as professionals in their field as guest speakers

Create guidelines and a rubric for the artist resume

Include the artist statement and the artist resume as separate measurements under Student Learning Outcome 5

SERVICE ACTIONS • Provide exhibitions of student artwork for the Duncan Simmons Center and the Cameron University Theatre lobby
