Application Fee

Non-refundable $27.03 Cashier Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:00 pm

In person – payments can be made by cash, cheque, money order, debit card, Visa,

MasterCard, American Express or Discover. Campus Cashier is located in Old Main,

Room 1614.

Telephone – payments can be made over the telephone using Visa, MasterCard,

American Express or Discover by calling 250-371-5646 during regular business hours.

Please be aware our cashiers are often busy serving students and you may experience

delays.

Bachelor of Business

Administration Degree (BBA)

• Admission to the BBA occurs in the 1st year

• The lower division (Year 1 and 2): 60 credits

• The upper division (Year 3 and 4) Students entering 3rd year of the BBA program must get permission

from the SoBE Program Advisor to enrol in upper division business

courses (numbered 3000 - 4000)

3 to 5 courses (9 to 15 credits) per semester 10 courses per year - total of 4 years to complete the degree

Part-time:

1 to 2 courses per semester

BBA Requirements

Years 1 and 2

The first two years of the BBA degree include a total

of 20 courses (or 60 credits) – refer to BBA Advising handout

• 9 courses (27 credits) are Business Core

• 2 courses (6 credits) are Math

• 2 courses (6 credits) are English/Communications

• 4 courses (12 credits) are Economics

• 1 course (3 credits) is Philosophy

• 2 elective courses (6 credits) in the Humanities and/or

Social Science areas

Students should declare their major(s) and/or

minor(s) by 3rd year.

Do you need to upgrade?

English 1100 requires one of the following: 73% minimum in English 12 (with gov’t exam results); or

ACCUPLACER Test with 85 in Comprehension, 80 in Sentence skills, 6 in Write Placer; or

LPI - Level 5 and 70% average in part 1; or

English 0600 with C+; or

ESAL Level 5 (C+ minimum); or

TOEFL 230 (International Admissions); or

IELTS 6.5 (International Admissions)

Math requirement: Foundations of Math 12 (C+); or

Pre-Calculus Math 12 (C+); or

TRU’s Math 0600/0610 (C+); or

Or Math 1000 (C+)

Note: As the BBA is an open admission program, students can take upgrading

courses. This, however, will limit a student’s ability to take some of the required

courses in their first year, extending the length of the degree.

BBA Co-operative Education Option

• Co-op Education integrates academic studies with paid periods of relevant work experience and usually extends the graduation date by a year

• Advantages for the Co-op Option are that students get paid for job experience in the field of their concentration or major and employers get exposure to potential future employees
