Dalton Moeller of the Dover FFA Chapter earned third place honors in Ag-ricultural Processing Pro-ficiency Award during the 89th Oklahoma FFA Con-vention on April 29.

Moeller said his father and twin brother are his trapping partners. They all work hard during the differ-ent seasons to trap coyotes, raccoons and bobcats.

“This year, our family hosted the second annual Okie Trapping Clinic at our farm,” Moeller said. “We

Moeller recognized at FFA conventionhad five different trapping and processing instructors present to 25 students.”

Moeller said he hopes to get other people involved as well as help others better understand the business.

The agricultural pro-cessing proficiency award is designed to recognize students who are involved in a supervised agricul-tural experience related to agricultural processing, working in assembling, transporting, processing,

fabricating, mixing, pack-aging and storing both food and nonfood agricultural products.

The Dover High School freshman is the son of Mike and Debbi Moeller. His agricultural education instructor and FFA adviser is Patrick Driskill.

Moeller said he would like to pursue a career in wildlife conservation management and criminal justice to become a game warden.
