SECOND ANGEL’S MESSAGE: REVELATION 14:8

REVELATION 14:8

And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

What is Babylon? [Physical nature]

WHOM DO THESE THREE SPIRITS REPRESENT?

REVELATION 13:4, 7 [Beast] And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who [is] like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindred's, and tongues, and nations.

FALSE PROPHET REVELATION 13:11-15 [An Image to the Beast]

And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by [the means of] those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

WHAT ARE THEIR INTENTIONS? REVELATION 16:14

For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, [which] go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

In contrast, the three angels’ messages are to unite people of God who are in the world on his side. On the other hand, the devil’s three-fold spirits are to

unite the world on his side.

UNDERSTANDING BABYLON2 KINGS 9:22

And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, [Is it] peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts [are so] many?

DOES THIS BABYLONIAN SYSTEM HAVE A NAME?

REVELATION 17:5

And upon her forehead [was] a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND

ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

WILL THIS APOSTATE SYSTEM EXIST THROUGHOUT THE END-TIME?

• Was Israel [God’s people] in open rebellion against Jesus?

• Were the teachings of Christ rejected by the very same leaders of Israel who claim to believe in God?

• Did the devil manage to deceive those same leaders who were present during Jesus’ time?

WHO IS THE GREATEST THREAT TO GOD’S PEOPLE?

• Who killed Abel?

• Who killed the ancient prophets?

• Who killed Jesus?

• Who persecuted and killed the saints during their 1260 years of domination?

JOHN 16:2

They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.

BABYLON’S WINE: OPPOSITION TO THE FIRST ANGEL’S MESSAGE

REVELATION 16:19And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

REVELATION 17:16, 17And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

WILL BABYLON BE OVERTHROWN AND PUNISHED?

REVELATION 18:1, 2, 4And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.... And that ye receive not of her plagues.

• Would you want to be associated with a religious system such as this?

2 THESSALONIANS 2:9, 10

[Even him], whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying

wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

1 CORINTHIANS 9:22

To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all [men], that

I might by all means save some.
