YarnAny Bulky/Chunky/12 Ply yarn.I used Alize Lanagold Classic (brown melange 240) for the dog sweater and left overHayfield chunky in green and in beige for the hat.You need around 100g/150g/170g for the dog sweater. You need around 30g/50g for the contrasting coloured sleeves. You need around 50g/100g for the hat, outside ears and chin ties. You need around 30g for the inside ear colour.

I used up left overs from my yarn stash for this project. The sweater could be knit in a thicker Aran/Worsted/10 Ply yarn that is near to theBulky/Chunky/12 Ply weight.

Stitch the chin ties to either side of the front corner points of the hat.

Weave in any loose ends.

Seam the inner ear to the outer ear - with the outsides (right sides) facing you.

Stitch the edges using the mattress stitch - the inner ear should fit into the point of

the outside ear - so that the outside point can be closed over it.

Where the outer ear starts to decrease - the inner ear point will fit into this and then

you can seam the outer ear over the top to close it up.

Weave in any loose ends at the top section of the ear.

Rep with the second ear.

Then fold the bottom of the ear in half and see where you want to place it on the hat.

I placed the hat onto a polystyrene ball but you can use a large ball of yarn.

This makes it easier to see where the ears are going to go.

Stitch the ear into place - on one side then stitch the other ear to the other side.

Weave in any loose ends.

Make sure they look even on either side.

Make any adjustments if you need to before you weave in the loose ends.

Once you are happy, weave them in and the hat will be ready to wear!
