of their parents.Now Huddersfield Examinerreaders are being given thechance to decide which little starwill be crowned this year’s Babyof the Year 2011.A total of 366 cuties – from birthto age three – have been enteredin the prestigious contest, firstlaunched in 1973.They will have the chance tofollow in the footsteps ofNewsome toddler DaisyWhitaker – now almost two –who won the historic trophy lastyear.Parents Kirsty Jacobs andRichard Whitaker are cheeringon this year’s adorable tots.Mum-of-one Kirsty entered herdaughter Daisy just before herfirst birthday last year.She admitted she was tempted bythe opportunity of receiving somefantastic photographs to giveaway as festive gifts.But Kirsty was stunned to hearher bouncing baby had beencrowned the winner.“We were all over the moon whenwe found out she had won,’’ shesaid. “It was the best feeling ever.

“I never thought we would evencome close. There were so manygorgeous babies, but as the dayswent on we got closer and closer.“I’m really pleased we enteredand the trophy has taken pride ofplace in our living room.“I’m so glad we did it.”Scores of proud parents havebeen lining up in QueensgateMarket’s Demonstration Zoneover recent weeks to have theirbonny babies pictured by JohnWoods Photography.Now, for the first time, theircheeky smiles can be seen here inthis special full-page coloursupplement as voting lines open.People will have from today untilmidnight next Monday, October17, to cast their vote by phone ortext.Polling will then re-open for thefavourite 20 babies on October 25for another week.The winner will be announced inearly November.All the lucky babies shown in oursupplement today are in with the
