Recently in a devotion I was reading by the late Billy Graham, this is what hesaid: “a good scripture in prayer comes from, Mark 11:24, What things so everyou desire, when you pray, believe…We are to pray in times of prosperity, lestwe become faithless and unbelieving. We are to pray in times of prosperity,lest we become boastful and proud. We are to pray in times of danger, lest webecome fearful and doubting. We need to pray in times of security, lest webecome self-sufficient. Sinners’ pray to a merciful God for forgiveness.

Christians, pray for an out pouring of God’s Spirit upon a willful, evil, unrepentant world. Parents, pray that God maycrown your home with grace and mercy. Children, pray for the salvation of your parents. Christians, saints of God,pray that the dew of Heaven may fall on earth’s dry, thirsty ground, and that righteousness may cover the earth as thewaters cover the sea. “Pray today: Let me pour everything out to You, Lord. Thank you for the knowledge that youhear me!

A Note From Our Treasurer - Linda Swift

2018 was an amazing year at Dover. Donations have been very good and we have been able to helpseveral individuals in our community as well as many worthy organizations. As we strive to useour resources to glorify God, we are truly thankful for each of our members. Your generosity ingiving back to God lets, Dover continue to minister to our community and share His love. Manyblessings to each of you and pray you have a very blessed new year.

• 9am light breakfast in the Family Fellowship and a Look at all we are doing in the Ministry of Prayer.

• Open House and tour of the Prayer Chapel

• Sunday 6 & 13, Worship will Focus on Prayer 6th Annie King (Lily’s Sister) will share her testimony 13th Barbara Sue and Clarence Doyle will share their recent journey in Prayer.

• In the bulletin each Sunday will be a form to fill out if you are willing to be a prayer warrior 1 hour per week in the prayer chapel or if homebound in your home.

January 6 through 13 will be a Week of Prayer Focus. Sunday January 6 will be 9am a lightbreakfast, Open House in the Prayer Chapel, with a dedication of the prayer chapel in themorning worship. On Sunday the 6th and 13, there will be a prayer card in the bulletin so youcan sign up to be a prayer warrior and pray 1 hr a week, in the chapel or if you are home boundin your home.

How many songs and hymns do you know that are direct quotes from scripture? There are hundreds,and they indeed are some of my favorites. You can argue theology and sound doctrine when a songwriter putsa rhyme together on their own, but who would dare question the Word of God Himself.

One of my favorites is from Psalm 42: As the deer panteth for the water So my soul longeth after thee You alone are my heart’s desire And I long to worship thee You alone are my strength, my shield To you alone may my spirit yield You alone are my heart’s desireAnd I long to worship thee

Is God alone your heart’s desire? Do you long everyday to worship Him?I pray that God and He alone are your strength and shield, I know from experience if that is the case you will beable to “Keep on Singing”!
