Temperature range: -10°C to 50°C.Humidity of the air: max. 95 % relativehumidity, non-condensing.
4 Functional characteristics4.1 General description
This magnetically coupled centrifugalpump type von Taine® is a sucking single-stage centrifugal pump made of plasticsand designed in modular system forhorizontal mounting. The pump andelectric motor are connected by amagnetic clutch which transmits the drivepower to the impeller.
4.2 Design
The pump housing, impeller, impellermagnet, and magnet deviding housing aremade of plastics. In the standard version, the center shaft is constructed from oxideceramic whereas the bearings are made ofoxide ceramic. The magnet devidinghousing hermetically seals the fluidagainst all atmospheric influences. Due tothe magnetic power transmission, thecenter shaft needs not to be sealed. Incontrast to mechanically or gland sealedpumps, this system prevents any leakageof fluid at the shaft.
The pump housing parts are sealed bystatic o-rings. The impeller of the pump isa radial-flow wheel.Depending on the fluid to be delivered, each component of the pump is availablein various materials.
