Tier I Social/Emotional Support

• Northeastern School District is implementing Positive Action in grades K-6 for 2018-2019
• Positive Action is a research-based social skills program
• Tier I will be done in the classroom with a minimum of 50 lessons for the school year
• Tier II intervention will be provided by Mrs. Albin through our guidance department

• Northeastern School District continues to utilize the ALiCE response to recent tragic events across the county.
• ALiCE is a response system that students may use and implement in various settings to include schools, public venues, and any place where they may feel threatened or unsafe.

Homework helps our Bobcats “Come Prepared to Learn”!
Reading Homework – students must read nightly (Monday through Friday) for at least fifteen minutes.
• Spelling words should be practice regularly and in advance of our Cycle Day 6 test.
• Math sheets must be done nightly (Monday through Thursday) unless “None” is written on the student’s sheet
• Homework Hall of Fame – will be used to reward and celebrate students who complete ALL assignments in a month’s time (will begin in September).
• Parent communication via notes in Communication Binder and phone calls will be made for incomplete homework assignments

• Birthday treats MUST be nut and tree allergy free
• MUST come from a certified baker/store
• MUST include ingredients
• Strongly encouraged to be NON-EDIBLE treats
