The city of Kerava and the organizing club Keravan Urheilijat are excited to have the opportunity to arrange WRE sprint orienteering competition Tuplasprintti on Sunday 18th April 2021.

VENUES, ACCESS AND TRANSPORT
The Event will be located in Southern Finland, the town of Kerava.
Arriving by train The Event Centre is easy to reach by train. Savio Station is about 30 minutes from Helsinki Central Railway Station. You can find timetables here https://www.hsl.fi/en

COMPETITION AND COURSES
Format Sprint orienteering. 2 competitions. The first competition is a world ranking event. After approx. 3 hours recovery time another competition. The prizes will be given according to the results of the world ranking event (first competition).
Map Savio, 1:4000, 2 m by Tommi Hakuli 03/2021 (ISSprOM 2019).
Terrain Urban terrain with small and big buildings and park areas.

Forms Mostly flat, maximum height difference is 20 meters.
Traffic Local traffic in some of the streets.

PREVIOUS ORIENTEERING MAPS There are previous orienteering maps of Savio. They can be downloaded from the event website https://keravanurheilijat.fi/suunnistus/wre-sprintti-202 1/en
PUNCHING SYSTEM The punching system used is Emit. The competitor can use his/her own Emit providing the card numbers to the organizers via IRMA/Eventor. If participant do not have an Emit card, it will be acquired by the organizer. Fee 6 € / Emit.
ENTRY
ENTRIES AND ENTRY DEADLINES Deadline for entry is 10th April 2021 at 24:00 and should be done in IRMA-service ( https://irma.suunnistusliitto.fi ) or Eventor ( https://eventor.orienteering.org/Events/Show/6964 ).
ENTRY FEES AND PAYMENTS W/M 21 38 €
The entry fee (+ 6 € for possible Emit rent) must be paid simultaneously to the account: Keravan Urheilijat ry, Keski-Uudenmaan Osuuspankki FI45 5092 0920 3418 70, OKOYFIHH. Please, write enough registration details in information / message field.
All costs for the competition must be paid by 10th April 2021.

EMBARGOED AREAS
The marked areas in Savio area are embargoed areas. For competitors, team officials and others who, through knowledge of the terrain or the competitions, may influence the results of the competitions, it is prohibited to enter the embargoed areas from 4th April 2021 onwards (2 weeks prior to the competition day). Until then it is allowed to enter the area for business purposes only.

RULES AND GENERAL INFORMATION
COMPETITION RULES The Competition Rules for IOF Foot Orienteering Events 2020, valid from 1 January 2021 apply.
CLIMATE Average temperature in Southern Finland in April lies between 5 and 15°C in daytime.
ATHLETE’S LICENCE All athletes participating WRE (M21, W21) need to have an IOF ID to participate.
CLOTHING It is forbidden to run with spike shoes. However, dobb spikes are allowed.

SPECIAL INFORMATION ABOUT COVID-19
The competition will be held according to the regulations and possible restrictions of local health authorities at the time of the competition. At the time being, nobody knows how restricted it will be to organize a sports competition on the 18th of April 2021. The organizers are planning all the details of the competition day to provide the athletes as safe conditions as possible to compete. More information about the local covid –restrictions will be at the web site and finally in the Bulletin 2.
