Dear valued members,

Bartercard, the biggest product and services trading company in the world, is a business solution for SMEs, enabling them to trade without cash in a B2B (Business to Business) format. Bartercard is consists of 35,000 businesses around the world and 3,000 businesses in Thailand - helping members to reduce costs and expenses by trading through the Bartercard system.

Due to periods of economic disturbance, caused by both domestic and international factors, entrepreneurs have become more cautious on spending and are constantly looking for new market channels to increase sales. During this time Bartercard has helped businesses to grow without using cash and at the same time assisted them to reduce costs. In 2014 Bartercard helped members increase sales and reduce costs by up to Baht 860 million, and also increased membership by bringing an additional 700 businesses into the system.

In 2015 Bartercard (Thailand) aims to increase Trade Baht sales and membership by 10%. The company is also benefiting from the listing of Bartercard International on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) in September last year. This listing will providing additional funding for investment and growth for the whole Bartercard Group including, of course, Bartercard Thailand – helping the company to make improvements in many areas. The company plans important developments in two key areas. Firstly, technological developments to make trading easier through better online services. Secondly, by expanding the Bartercard membership base to increase trading opportunities for members. The Bartercard team believes that these developments will benefit Bartercard members – giving them more and improved opportunities to trade though the Bartercard system.

Amed clinic is an aesthetics and cosmetic surgery clinic focusing on treatment results and client satisfaction above all else. Since joining Bartercard I’ve used it quite frequently. When I first joined, I did not really understand how to use the service. But since then I’ve learned and studied with the BDM who has assisted me on how to use Bartercard to aid my business. Since then I have used Bartercard to help my business in many ways.

I mostly use Bartercard to advertise my clinic such as printing media kits for sale promotions and placing them in all of our branches as well as commercial adverts on the TV to market, promote and boost sales. I found both of these to be very useful. Because the adverts are marketed to the right targets and end users, they are bringing in cash clients, meaning I’ve turned the Bartercard trade into cash.

My impressions of Bartercard are that the main advantage of it, since I’ve learnt how to use it best, is saving cash. Additionally without needing us to do any promotions, we’ve gained Bartercard members as clients of ours Therefore our client base has extended, which has been helpful. The wide variety of products I can spend my trade baht on is definitely a plus.

Jicko is an automobile decoration centre with expertise in car vinyl and paint wrap protection film and has been in operation for 5 years. Bartercard has been an excellent secondary promotion channel for my shop to become better known. It has been an excellent way to introduce Jicko to many people who didn’t even know such a service existed. Most of my clients have brand new cars and are looking for a service to customize their car.

Bartercard has been a big help, right from the start of my business. Most furniture, such as curtains, office desks and chair sets, teak seating and outdoor turf, was obtained with Bartercard trade. Our resting area, for long distance customers who’ve come from far away and need to rest while we work on their car, has a car shaped bed that would have been very difficult to find without Bartercard. At Nata Resort is Located only 25km, a shortdrive, from town in A. Maerim, Chiangmai, At Nata Resort is a stylish modern space surrounded by nature with a stream running through the resort and a view of the nearby Mae Sa waterfall from your room. The resort has a variety of room types to suit any guest or group.

During the low season, Bartercard brings in Thai and international guests, which is a great help. If the guests are impressed with the resort, they pass that on to others, which brings in cash customers, as well as making our Facebook fan page more publically visible. On the island of Koh Pha Ngan, Surat Thani, is the beautiful Grand Sea resort. Ideally placed to experience all the activities the island has to offer, and with a spa, sauna and swimming pool, it’s an excellent choice for a holiday.

I consider the main benefits of Bartercard to be the ability to save cash in business, as our resort has many rooms we can offer to members for trade, and use that trade to buy products we need without cash. Some of the products we regularly need that I can get trading with Bartercard members include beds, pillows, mirrors, dish washing liquid and even wine.

Because we can fill empty rooms through Bartercard, we don’t need to rely so heavily on cash clients or agencies, and we can also accumulate trade, to be used in a way that benefits the resort. Hotels run by Bartercard members away from the island often send us clients when their guests are looking for somewhere to stay on Koh Pha Ngan. Additionally, in the past I have traded for spa products like massage oil or balm to use in the spa or sell in the spa shop. My impression of Bartercard is it’s a useful source of products, services and clients.

Bartercard has tremendous benefits when releasing products, as well as using the trade for company expenses. As we have no sales team, but still have a product to sell, Bartercard has been a big help with distribution and we use the trade we get from non-cash sales to save cash later, such as car repairs, renting trucks to help us move products, attending exhibitions and trading for in-office products, such as files, desk and chair sets and New Year gifts for clients, like gift baskets. Additionally, I’ve been able to join the Bartercard Trade Show and trade for a piano as well. Bartercard’s also been very helpful for expanding our client base, with a BDM who assists us in a variety of ways. Also, the other Bartercard members have been very responsive to our products.
