REPORT ON FOUR DIAMOND*DRILL HOLES

VINE.1 CLAIM

FORT STEELE MINING DIVISION'

L. Stephenson November, 1990

1.00 Introduction

In our continuing exploration drilling on the Vine claim group, where Kokanee owns a 90% interest (Cominco Ltd. lo%), four diamond drill holes were completed as part of the program. These intersected the vein and are detailed below.

2.00 Location and Access

Vine claims (all of them) are located at the end of Hidden Valley (south) Road, north of Moyie Lake. Access by government maintained highway to the centre of the claim group is present.

0

3.00 Reqional Geoloay

The claims lie within the central portion of the Purcell Anticlinorium, which consists of sedimentary argillites, quartzites and related intruded gabbro sills and dykes of the Aldridge formation. These formations host both the Sullivan deposit and the St. Eugene deposit, approximately 30 kilometres north and 14 kilometres south, respectively.

The structural features of the area appear to have had a significant influence on the location and control of the ore zones in the Aldridge formation.

The St. Eugene mine reported over 1.0 million tons were mined and indicated recovered grades of 10.86% lead, 2.73% zinc, 5.53 ounces of silver and 0.0049 ounces per ton of gold.

4.00 Propertly Geology \

The property is underlain by the regional Middle Aldridge rock. A vein was discovered in 1976 by Cominco and the fault structure, associated with the mineralization, has been traced for 4 kilometres.

a

Page 4: b KOKANEE EXPLORATIONS LTD, REPORT ON FOUR …

I

- 2 - \

Stratigraphic drilling on the property intersected a large section of massive quartzite. This rock type was also found at the St. Eugene where it hosted the largest tonnage zone.

/

There appears to be strong evidence that the structure, hosting the St. Eugene deposit, and the Vine zone are related, offset by the Moyie Fault located just to the south of the Vine property.

The mineralized structure has been traced for over 1,000 \

metres with a down dip extension of at l e a s t 700 metres.

I

5.00 Diamond Drillinq

Four drill holes were completed as part of the ongoing exploration program on the property (Appendix I Drill Logs). These holes, KV90-36, 37, 38 and 39, were drilled in the central'portion of the currently known Vine Vein structure.

All holes were collared in the quartzite and argillites of the Middle Aldridge and terminated in the argillites and quartzites of the Lower Aldridge. As well, all holes intersected the mineralized vein structure. In holes KV90-36, 37, 38 and 39, the Sullivan stratigraphic horizon was intersected with holes KV90- 36 and 37 also intersecting the Sullivan Footwall Quartzite stratigraphic horizon.

6 .OO Conclusion

\ ' $he cores of the four diamond drill holes represent excellent examples of drilling in and about the Sullivan stratigraphic horizon and good examples of mineralization of the Vine Vein.
