FOR EACH TICKET SOLD, BETH EL MAKES $5 and the shopping pass entitles you to 25% off almost all items in store, including sale items.

From Rabbi KraussDear Congregants,

We thank G-d for granting us a year of life. We pray for a year of further life – the year soon to be upon us 5782. The past year and a half has been a trying one for the whole world. It has sharpened the difference between the have and have not nations. The availability of vaccines has been crucial. Conspiracy beliefs and anti-vaccine believers have actually risen at the price of lives.

Here and there the covid conspirators have resorted to outright anti-Semitism. The covid epidemic has called for spiritual and physical resources to cope with the challenges. Technological advances, especially Zoom have been helpful.

In history, the world has experienced previous pandemics. We of the 21st century believe they were of the past. We have been shown to be at least as vulnerable as previous generations.

As the New Year, Rosh Hashanah approaches, we will turn to the profound resources of our sacred faith for strength, support and comfort — and above all, wisdom.

L’SHANA TOVAH-HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL-- RABBI, MILDRED, JOEL, SARA, ROGER, HANNAH,

REBECCA, ADAM AND MIRA

Rabbi Aaron Krauss

HAZZAN NOTES

As of this writing, new Corona guidelines haven’t been presented. Anything can change at the spur of the moment. Whatever the situation, Beth El will adjust. There will be services in the sanctuary and there will be a zoom option. We are hoping that everyone will adjust appropriately when we get to the holidays.

Last year’s holidays were challenging, but as Beth El always does, we met the challenge and we will meet it again. We have a professional technical person who was with us last year and will be again. We have volunteers who will help me on the bima, and Rabbi Krauss will once again be zooming his words of wisdom

I have every confidence that our motivated Beth El family will once again rise to whatever challenges we face for this holiday season. No matter what the circumstances, we are in another state of renewal at this time of year. Let’s go forth and face it with strength and determination.

Shana Tova!
