Section C Question 1 Last Friday, Samy, Ming Seng and Jamil were playing football on the school field. The field was wet so it was muddy and slippery. They were enjoying themselves in the field. Suddenly, Samy kicked the ball to the goalpost. Jamil ran to stop it but he slipped. He fell and cried out in pain. Samy and Ming Seng quickly ran to help. They were very frightened. They saw a cut on Jamil’s calf and it was bleeding. Samy and Ming Seng helped Jamil up and walked him to a bench at the edge of the field. A teacher saw the incident and ran over to them with a first-aid kit. The teacher cleaned and bandaged the cut. They thanked theor teacher gratefully. After that, Samy and Ming Seng accompanied Jamil home. They regretted and promised to turn over a new leaf. Question 2
Last weekend, my school held a cleanliness campaign. The aim of this campaign is to beautify our school. My classmates and I gathered at the school early in the morning. We were told to bring along pails, rakes and rags.
Before we cleaned the school compound, the teachers divided us into groups. Each group was assigned to different chores. My group was asked to clean the drains. Other groups were assigned to gather dried leaves, painted the wall and pruned the plants.
At the end of the campaign, our headmaster praised us for our school's new look. We were given free lunch and drinks. We were tired but happy because we would have a pollution free environment to live in.
