Dear Sponsor / Player,
We are happy to announce the 2019 Azalea Classic Invitational Golf
Tournament to be held on September 9 at the Bristow Manor Golf Club in Bristow, VA. On behalf of Azalea Charities, we invite you to join our Title Sponsor, Battlefield Wealth Management, and our other committed sponsors, BB&T Bank and Insperity, to become a sponsor or purchase a program ad for this event.
Sponsoring Azalea Charities can help you make a difference – give us a “google” or check out our website at www.azaleacharities.com. You’ll find a well-regarded organization that supports a dual mission of community charities and nationwide Aid for Wounded Warriors and
their families. We’re a charity that runs on 100% volunteer power with all proceeds (beyond minimal expenses) going directly to the people who need them the most. Our support for youth and special needs projects in our local Northern Virginia area includes Special Olympics, Boys and Girls Clubs, homeless shelters, cancer and disease support, education and other special needs. Aid for Wounded Warriors supports VA and military hospitals, Fisher Houses, service dogs for veterans, partner organizations, Veterans of WWII, Korea, Vietnam and other conflicts, and international wounded warriors.
Act today and make a difference. All you have to do is fill out the enclosed sponsorship form and mail it back to us. Because of the coordination involved in planning this event, we need your response as early as possible, but no later than July 16, 2019. If you have questions, contact Frank Lasch at (703) 670-5238 or by e-mail at [email protected]
We look forward to hearing from you and meeting you on September 9th.

An all-volunteer organizationAzalea Charities is made up of volunteers who donate their time and talents because they believe in the mission of Azalea Charities. Beyond minimal expenses, all the funds we raise go to charitable causes.
As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, we work with a volunteer board, 11 officers and a membership of dedicated people within our local communities and around the world. Many of our directors and members are retired from the military, which explains our international commitment to Aid for Wounded Warriors. Azalea Charities is based in Prince William County, VA, cementing our service to causes from Arlington to Fredericksburg, VA.
A history of helping worthy causesThe idea for Azalea Charities originated with Frank Lasch and Larry Pergerson, who organized a telethon in 1997 to benefit the Girl Scouts, Boys & Girls Clubs, local home-less shelters and other community groups. The next spring, Lasch and Pergerson organized a charity golf tournament on a golf course resplendent with azaleas in bloom. The Azalea Classic Pro-Am Invitational Golf Classic was inaugurated in April 1999, with the support of two major sponsors, developer Dean More-house and banker Gary Martin. This tourna-ment has been a cornerstone of Azalea Charities’ fund-raising efforts ever since.
In June 2004, Azalea Charities began Aid for Wounded Warriors. This effort has gained worldwide attention through international contributors and cooperation with charitable organizations in other countries.
