AyakaNishiwasbornandraisedinKagoshima,Japan,amedium‐sizedmetropolisinamostlyruralprefectureonKyushuuIsland.Shewasinfluencednotonlybythesophisticationofcitylife,butalsobythebucoliccountrysideandpristinewildernessbeyond.Whileherone‐of‐a‐kindstyleisverymuchaproductoftheenvironmentssheinhabited,shehasalsoreceivedextensiveformaltraininginthedesignandmanufactureofjewelry.In2006,Ms.NishirelocatedtoNewYorkCitytoattendtheworld‐renownedFashionInstituteofTechnology(F.I.T.).Aftergraduating,sheinternedat2008CFDAawardwinnerPhilipCrangi,andlatersecuredapositionatCFDA2009winner,SubversiveJewelry.Inrecentyears,AyakaNishi’sworkhasbeenfeaturedingalleries,exhibitions,andboutiquesinNewYork,Japan,andKorea,aswellasacriticallyacclaimedjewelryfashionshowattheEmpireHotelinNewYorkCity.Herworkshavealsobeenfeaturedinnumerousnationalandinternationaldigitalandprintpublications,includingVogueUK,VogueItalia,Elle,andmore.
