What is Ayahuasca?What is Ayahuasca?

Ayahuasca is the commonly used name to describe a tea made from a combination of sacred plants and has been used traditionally across the Amazon basin in South America including Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Bolivia, and Ecuador continuously for thousands of years and is still used today by many indigenous tribes.

Ayahuasca means “Vine of the Spirit” or “Vine of the Dead”. It can be used for different purposes such as personal transformation, spiritual initiations, communication with the spiritual realms, dance and music rituals, for hunting (to locate prey), religious rituals and magical practices.

The Spirit Vine Retreat Centre provides a safe space for those who choose to participate in the ayahuasca ceremonies during the retreats.

The ayahuasca ceremony is a powerful spiritual experience that opens the participant to a greater awareness of the essence of oneself in this.

Spiritvive has developed a unique style of ayahuasca ritual that is deep, safe, comfortable and supportive.

The ceremonies at Spirit Vine are held at night in the beautiful, purpose built temple inside the jungle and beside a stunning lagoon. Outside the temple, the symphony of sounds from the frogs, animals and insects at night is the perfect backdrop to a night of spiritual discovery.

The Spirit Vine centre is devoted to ayahuasca and the spirit of the plants permeates through the land and everywhere in the centre.
