Ayah-A-Day Colouring Book   

     

 

Asalaamu Alaikum!  Thank you for downloading the Ayah-A-Day Ramadan Colouring Book. Since Ramadan is the month the Qur’an was revealed in, we wished to create an activity for kids that would include the Qur’an for the whole month!   This activity uses imagery from the Qur’an to capture the imaginations of children and introduce them to Ayahs of the Quran which contain those images. We hope you are able to take some time each day in Ramadan and recite and discuss these beautiful ayahs with your children.  This activity was put together with a lot of love. We hope it’s beneficial for you and your family. Day 1 - Qur’an  

(2:185) The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for mankind, and clear proofs of the guidance, and the Criterion (of right and wrong). And whosoever of you is present, let him fast the month, and whosoever of you is sick or on a journey, (let him fast the same) number of other days. Allah desireth for you ease; He desireth not hardship for you; and (He desireth) that ye should complete the period, and that ye should magnify Allah for having guided you, and that peradventure ye may be thankful. 

Day 2 - Moon  

(25:61-62) Blessed is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon. And it is He who has made the night and the day in succession for whoever desires to remember or desires gratitude. 

Day 3 - Lantern  

(24:35) Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp, the lamp is within glass, the glass as if it were a pearly [white] star lit from [the oil of] a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light. Allah guides to His light whom He wills. And Allah presents examples for the people, and Allah is Knowing of all things.  

                    

 Day 4 - Honey/Bees 

 

(16:68-69) And your Lord inspired to the bee, "Take for yourself among the mountains, houses, and among the trees and [in] that which they construct.Then eat from all the fruits and follow the ways of your Lord laid down [for you]." There emerges from their bellies a drink, varying in colors, in which there is healing for people. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who give thought. 

 

   

 

 Day 5 - Mountains 

 

(59:21) If We had sent down this Qur'an upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and coming apart from fear of Allah. And these examples We present to the people that perhaps they will give thought.  

  

  

Day 6 - Pen  

(96:1-5) Recite in the name of your Lord who created -Created man from a clinging substance.Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous -Who taught by the pen -Taught man that which he knew not.  

  

Day 7 - Stars   

(6:97) And it is He who placed for you the stars that you may be guided by them through the darknesses of the land and sea. We have detailed the signs for a people who know  

 

 

 

 

 

Day 8 - Fig   

(95:1-6) By the fig and the olive.And [by] Mount Sinai.And [by] this secure city [Makkah], We have certainly created man in the best of stature;Then We return him to the lowest of the low, Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds, for they will have a reward uninterrupted. 

  

Day 9 - Trees  

(31:27) And if whatever trees upon the earth were pens and the sea [was ink], replenished thereafter by seven [more] seas, the words of Allah would not be exhausted. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.  

   

Day 10 - Ships  

(55:24) And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains. So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?     

             

Day 11 - Plants   

(6:99) And it is He who sends down rain from the sky, and We produce thereby the growth of all things. We produce from it greenery from which We produce grains arranged in layers. And from the palm trees - of its emerging fruit are clusters hanging low. And [We produce] gardens of grapevines and olives and pomegranates, similar yet varied. Look at [each of] its fruit when it yields and [at] its ripening. Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe. 

  

 

Day 12 - Earth   

(2:22) [He] who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky, rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you. So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him]  

             

        

Day 13 - Palm Tree  

(14:24-25) Have you not considered how Allah presents an example, [making] a good word like a good tree, whose root is firmly fixed and its branches [high] in the sky?It produces its fruit all the time, by permission of its Lord. And Allah presents examples for the people that perhaps they will be reminded. 

   

Day 14 - Sky   

(40:64) It is Allah who made for you the earth a place of settlement and the sky a ceiling and formed you and perfected your forms and provided you with good things. That is Allah, your Lord; then blessed is Allah, Lord of the worlds.   

       

 

          

Day 15 - Ants  

(27:17-19) And gathered for Solomon were his soldiers of the jinn and men and birds, and they were [marching] in rows.Until, when they came upon the valley of the ants, an ant said, "O ants, enter your dwellings that you not be crushed by Solomon and his soldiers while they perceive not." So [Solomon] smiled, amused at her speech, and said, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve. And admit me by Your mercy into [the ranks of] Your righteous servants." 

            

          

Day 16 - Rain  

(10:24) The example of [this] worldly life is but like rain which We have sent down from the sky that the plants of the earth absorb - [those] from which men and livestock eat - until, when the earth has taken on its adornment and is beautified and its people suppose that they have capability over it, there comes to it Our command by night or by day, and We make it as a harvest, as if it had not flourished yesterday. Thus do We explain in detail the signs for a people who give thought. 

Day 17 - Stones   

(2:74) Then your hearts became hardened after that, being like stones or even harder. For indeed, there are stones from which rivers burst forth, and there are some of them that split open and water comes out, and there are some of them that fall down for fear of Allah . And Allah is not unaware of what you do.   

      

Day 18 - Gardens  

(27:60) [More precisely], is He [not best] who created the heavens and the earth and sent down for you rain from the sky, causing to grow thereby gardens of joyful beauty which you could not [otherwise] have grown the trees thereof? Is there a deity with Allah ? [No], but they are a people who ascribe equals [to Him].   

         

             

Day 19 - Seed/Grain  

(2:261) The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.  

 Day 20 - Fish/Whale 

 

(37:139-144) And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers. [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. And he drew lots and was among the losers.Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected.  

  

  

Day 21 - Olives   

(16:11) He causes to grow for you thereby the crops, olives, palm trees, grapevines, and from all the fruits. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who give thought.   

  

Day 22 - Angel Wings  

(35:1) [All] praise is [due] to Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, [who] made the angels messengers having wings, two or three or four. He increases in creation what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent. 

 

 

Day 23 - Pomegranate  

(6:141) And He it is who causes gardens to grow, [both] trellised and untrellised, and palm trees and crops of different [kinds of] food and olives and pomegranates, similar and dissimilar. Eat of [each of] its fruit when it yields and give its due [zakah] on the day of its harvest. And be not excessive. Indeed, He does not like those who commit excess. 

             

Day 24 - Houses

(24:27) O you who have believed, do not enter houses other than your own houses until you ascertain welcome and greet their inhabitants. That is best for you; perhaps you will be reminded. 

 

          

Day 25 - Sun  

(36:37-40) And a sign for them is the night. We remove from it [the light of] day, so they are [left] in darkness.And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. And the moon - We have determined for it phases, until it returns [appearing] like the old date stalk. It is not allowable for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming. 

  

   

 

Day 26 - Pearl  

(22:23) Indeed, Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to gardens beneath which rivers flow. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearl, and their garments therein will be silk.   

 

Day 27 - Sunrise - Surah Qadr  

(97:1-5) Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree. And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.     

 

 

Day 28 - Ocean

(16:14) And it is He who subjected the sea for you to eat from it tender meat and to extract from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships plowing through it, and [He subjected it] that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful.     

 

Day 29 - Hearts

(13:28) Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allah . Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured."     

           

    

Day 30 - Lightening  

(13:12-13) It is He who shows you lightening, [causing] fear and aspiration, and generates the heavy clouds.And the thunder exalts [ Allah ] with praise of Him - and the angels [as well] from fear of of Him
