Misty

“misty” I hear someone call from behind me. I turn around and see

miles. “hey” I whisper. I was holding my binder in my hand andmy backpack on my back. I had my hoody on and my hood over

my head. “how are you?” he asks.

I shrug and walk down the hall. I walk into my class and sit down

in my seat in the back of the room where no one sits. I ignore the

stares and murmurs. I slump in my chair hiding under my hood.

Just as class is about to begin a guy I have never seen before walks

in. he walks back to the back of the room and sits in the desk next

to me. I slide away from him fiddling with my sleeve. I feel his

gae on me. “hi I!m Justin what is your name?” he asks. I "ust then

have a vision. I freee in my seat I grip the desk hard. I can hear

Justin asking if I!m ok. I see my friend in trouble and a girl getting

killed by a dude in black. #hen I!m done I "ump up and run out of



the classroom. I slam into the lockers and slump to the floor

breathing heavy. $he teacher walks out of the classroom and looks

worried when she sees me on the floor. %he walks over to me.

“misty are you alright?” she asks me. I shake my head. I nownotice all of the class is out in the hall watching me. I also see

Justin standing there looking worried. I look away. “here lets get

you home” she tells me. I nod and she helps me up. “um actually I

drove here so ill "ust take off after I sigh out” I whisper in her ear.

%he nods and hands me my stuff. I walk down the hallway.

I drive home in my light blue slug bug and pull into the driveway. I

unlock the door and head to my room. #hen I get there I sit on my bed and hold a pillow while I cry.



I wake up to my alarm clock. I climb out of bed and take a shower

and dress in a pair of "eans and a purple hoodie. I walk downstairs

and eat. I grab my bag and head to my car.



I walk in the school door and head to my locker. I then head to my

class and sit down in my seat. I ignore the stairs and stare at my

desk. Justin walks in and sits next to me. I stiffen. I finally getthrough class and go into the hallway. I am then slammed into the

locker by a guy. My eyes widen. “&ey there I wonder what you

look like under that hood” he says as he pulls the hood off my head

and whistles “dam your pretty. It!s sad though that you hide under

there” he tells me. I really am not comfortable. “&ey why don!t

you take the hood off and maybe come over later and take off

everything else” he tells me. I start breathing heavy. “&ey let hergo” I hear a voice say. $he guy pinning me to the locker groans

“'r what?” he asks. “'r you are going to have to deal with me.

(nd trust me you don!t want to get on my bad side” the guy says. I

look around and see Justin standing there. #hen the guy sees who

it is he back off and takes off down the hall. I look at Justin and am

sucked into a vision. )efore I fall to the ground Justin grabs me

and he is sucked in to. I!m seeing a fire and miles saving someone.$hen I see miles burning to death and am sucked out of my vision.

I gasp. “I!m so sorry” I tell him and take off down the hall. &e

follows me. I collapse on the hallway floor. &e kneels down next

to me “what "ust happened? I "ust saw someone burning to death”

he exclaims. “$rust me you don!t want to know. Just be lucky you

don!t go thru this everyday like I do” I tell him. &e looks confused

as I start to cry. I know he doesn!t know what to do. %o he "ust tells

me it!s ok. &e then does something surprising he grabs me and

holds me and rocks me. I barely even know this guy and yet I let

him hold me.



#hen I get home I dress in my pa"amas and climb in bed. I am so

depressed. I curl up and cling to my pillow. I then hear a knock on

the front door. I get out of bed and walk downstairs to the frontdoor. I open it and find a man on the front steps. “misty perks I am

don and I "ust want to say there is someone who wants to adopt

you” he tells me. im to stunned to speak. “they live in *alifornia so

pack up and we leave in two hours” he tells me and walks away. I

shut my door and walk back upstairs. I start packing.

%o I!m on a plane to *alifornia. +reat. #onder what its like. who

this family is and what their like? when the plane lands I find a cab

waiting. I get in.



Michelson!s home

,rake Josh -uke



I don!t wear a hoodie this time. $he cab drives up to a million

dollar house. I gasp. I get out of the cab and I see a woman run out.

%he runs up to me and hugs me. “'h you!re so beautiful” she tells

me. “*ome on meet the rest of the family” she tells me and walksto the house I follow. %he opens the door and I walk in. she leads

me to the couch “Josh ,rake -uke come meet misty” she calls. I

see three guys run down the stairs and stop when they see me.

“Isn!t she gorgeous?” she exclaims. $hey won!t stop staring at me.

I smile at them. $hey walk over to me and sit down really close to

me. %he walks over to one of them that has brown hair “this is

"osh” she says smiling. $hen she goes by a boy with blond hair

“this is -uke” she tells me. “(nd this is drake” she tells me

pointing to the boy with black hair. “John my husband is at the

store so he will be back soon so your room is on the left so you can

come down when you!re ready” she tells me. “thank you” I tell her

and walk up my new room.

#hen I am done looking around I take my stuff out and put it up. I

then walk out and downstairs. “how did you like your room?”

-ucy asks. “its nice thank you” I tell her. “so this is "ohn” she tells

me pointing to a tall big man. &e smiles at me. I smile back. “so go

ahead and sit in the living room and dinner will be ready in /0

minutes” she tells me. I nod and walk into the living room. I see

the three boys playing video games. $hey smile when I come in.

“hey misty” -uke says. “hi -uke” I tell him and sit down. “so howold are you?” -uke asks me. “12 almost 13” I tell him. “*ool” he

tells me. I smile. “,inner” I hear and I get up.



(fter dinner lucy tells me she would like to take me cloth shopping

tomorrow. I "ust nod and head up to my room.

(fter we got me some cloths I start putting them in my closet. I

then hear a knock on my door. “coming” I holler as I walk over to

the door. I open the door and find Josh standing there. “hello "osh

can I help you?” I ask. “um” "osh stutters then takes off down the

hall. I laugh as I shut my door. I start school tomorrow. %o when it

was time for bed I climb into my king sied bed and fell asleep.



I woke up and took a shower. I then got dressed and did my

makeup. -etting my curly hair fall down my back in perfect blond

and brown curls I grab my backpack and slipping on my shoes and

head downstairs. I sat down and ate some eggs. “+ood morning

misty” -ucy tells me. “Morning” I tell her. %he smiles at me. “you

look beautiful” she tells me. I smile at her. “so where is

everybody?” I ask. “#ell the boys went to school early and "ohn is

at work so I!ll be taking you to school” she tells me. I nod.

%he drops me off at the front of the building and I look around. I

see a girl with black hair run up to me. “&i I!m June and you are?”

she asks. “misty” I tell her. “you must be new so if you want you



can sit with us at lunch” she tells me. “thank you” I tell her. she

smiles and shows me around. My first class is history so I walk in

and sit in the back. I take out my history book and my notebook.

Jason



(fter class I head to my last class until lunch. (fter that class I go

to the lunchroom and spot "une sitting at a table with / girls and 4

guys. I walk over to them until I hear my name called. “hey misty

come over here for a minute” I hear luke call. I turn around andwalk over to them. $hey are sitting at a table with 5 other guys.

+reat. I smile at luke. “hey so this is brad mason "onathan chad

and Jason” he tells me. “hi” I tell them. $hey look up. )ut Jason

doesn!t. “Jason is the 6uarter back for the football team and he has

finals so he!s studying” luke tells me. I peer over at what he!s

studying. “is that about the mayans?” I ask. &e looks up and when

he sees me he freees. &e then nods “you know anything about it?”

he asks. “yea I studied it last year got an ( on the test” I tell him.

“hey he!s coming over to our house tonight so maybe you can

come down from your room and help him” "osh tells me. “sure” I

tell him. “alright see you at home” luke tells me. I nod and walk

over to my table.

-uke

“she lives with you?” brad asks. “yea she moved in 4 days ago” I

tell them. “cool I guess I!ll see her tonight” chad says. I "ust nod

and look at Jason still looking at misty from across the room. I

smile and go back to my lunch.

Misty

I look over and see Jason looking at me. I smile and he looks away.

I laugh.



#hen I get home I go upstairs and dress in a pair of purple yoga

pants and a yoga top and slipped on some socks. 7utting my hair in

a ponytail I headed downstairs. “hey misty” "osh tells me. “hey” I

tell him. “so Jason will be here in a minute so you can hang out

here until then” he tells me. “ok thanks” I tell him and sit down

next to him. we talk about what I know about the myanas and he

nods. Just then Jason comes in with luke. -uke smiles at me and

says hey. Jason "ust stares. “hey dude your going to ace this final

because she "ust told me a textbook perfect everything about

myanas” "osh tells Jason. &e nods. “so you want to get started?” I

ask. &e nods and walks over to me. I let him take notes on what I

have to say and I test him on what he has learned. “good so if you

want I can help you some more during lunch” I suggest. “yea that

would be nice” he tells me. I smile. I walk him to the door and say

goodbye and he walks to his car. “wow you sure do know a lot” I

hear a voice behind me. I turn and smile at luke and shrug. “I hope

it helps him” I tell him. “hey you gave me a lesson on it and I



didn!t even need one” he tells me. I shut the door and head to my

room. I crawl into bed and turn out the lights.



I wake up. (fter taking a shower I dress and do my makeup and

do my hair. I slip on my shoes grab my bag and head downstairs.

(fter eating -ucy takes me to school.

#alking in I go to my locker. I head to my first class. (fter that I

head to my 4 other classes. $hen I head to lunch. I see Jason over

at the table and I walk over to him and sit down. “so let!s get

started” I tell him. he nods and I help him. I answer his 6uestions



and help him memorie certain facts. #hen the bell rings I get up

and head to the door “hey misty” I hear him call. I turn around and

look at him. “thanks and I!m coming over for dinner tonight so ill

see you then” he tells me. “ok well your welcome and have a goodrest of the day” I tell him and smile as I walk out the door.



I dressed and put my hair in a ponytail. ,oing my makeup I put on

my shoes and grabbed my backpack.



#hen I got to school I run into Jason. “&ey” Jason says. “&i” I

reply. “&ere” he says and hands me a purple hibiscus flower. I take

it and smile. “$hank you” I tell him. &e smiles and walks away. Ismile and walk into class. $his time June sits by me. “%pill it” she

tells me. “#hat?” I ask. “9ou got a flower from the hottest guy at

school so spill it what!s going on?” she tells me. “:othing.

:othing!s going on” I tell her. “;h girl Jason has the sweets for

you and you call that nothing?” she asks. I shrug. %he laughs “do

you even know the meaning of the hibiscus flower?” she asks.

“:o” I tell her. “It means delicate beauty” she tells me matter offact. “It could have "ust been a coincident he picked a hibiscus” I

tell her. “;m I don!t think so< you are beautiful and when I saw

him give it to you he looked like he was admiring your beauty” she

tells me. I shrug and blush. “,id you also know he hasn!t found

the right girl so the way he is treating you seems like a good sign

to me” she tells me. “-ast night he invited me to sit with him at

lunch today” I tell her. “#oe= #ait last night?” she asks. “9ea hecame over for dinner with -uke” I tell her. &er mouth hangs open

“Is that the only time he has been over since you moved?” she

asks. “:o / days ago he came over after school so I could help him

study for his finals” I tell her. %he literally almost faints. “&ey it!s

not a big deal” I tell her. “It is. ,o you know how many girls have

tried to get good with him? >very. %ingle. 'ne. (nd you didn!t

even try” she exclaims. “&ey can you calm down your scaring me

you look like you!re going to pass out on me” I tell her. %he sighs

"ust as the bell rings.

I get thru the rest of my classes and I!m off to lunch. I spot

Jason sitting with his friends and he looks up and smiles. &e waves



me over and I walk over there. Jason grabs a chair and sits me

down. I drop my bag on the floor as he sits next to me. $hen he

hands me a blue hibiscus. I smile at him and he smiles back. “%o

did you know that there is a dance coming up in a week and I waswondering if you would like to go with me?” he asks. I smile “yea

I would like that” I tell him. “'h and guess what” he says.

“#hat?” I ask. “9ou helped me pass my exam” he tells me. “9ou

passed. 'h that!s great” I tell him. “%o since I passed I can play

football. (nd our first game is %unday so how about I come pick

you up and you can watch me” he suggests. I smile “yea I could do

that. $hat would be great” I tell him. &e smiles at me. “%o I!ll pick

you up around 840” he tells me. I nod. %o we eat lunch and after

lunch I walk to my locker. #hen I shut it I!m thrust into my locker

by a big guy. :ot again. “&i there” he says. “&i I need to get to

class so can you please move?” I ask. #hen he doesn!t move I try

to push him out of the way but he pushes me back into the locker.

“&ey let her go” a voice says. It turns out to be Jason. “'r what?”

the guy asks shoving me into the locker harder. Jason "umps and

punches the guy. I cover my mouth with my hand. “&ey stop” I tell

the guy who pushed me up against the wall. &e turns around and

slaps me in the face leaving a red handprint on my right cheek. $he

guy runs down the hall. Jason walks up to me. “&ere let me see” he

tells me. I move my hand and he looks at my cheek. &e looks

unhappy when he sees my cheek. “(re you ok?” he asks. “I think

so” I tell him. “&ere let me log you out and I!ll take you home” he

tells me. I nod. &e grabs my bag and leads me to his car.

&e drives me home. #hen he walks me to the front door -ucy

comes running up to me “#hat happened to you?” she asks

looking at my face. “( guy was harassing her and he slapped her”

Jason tells her. -ucy looks shocked. %he then grabs me and leads



me to the couch. I sit down and she touches my face. I s6ueee my

eyes shit when she touches above my eye. It comes away with

blood. “'h sweet heart you have a cut above your eye” she tells

me. I reach up and touch it. My finger comes away with blood.“&ere Jason will you watch her while I get some bandages?” -ucy

asks. “9ea” he tells her. “$hanks” she says and walks into the other

room. Jason scoots over to me. &e grabs my hand and looks at my

forehead. “$hat was really brave of you to step in” I tell him. “&ey

he shouldn!t have been harassing you so it!s the least I could do”

he tells me. I smile. -ucy walks back in and waves some band aids.

%he walks over to me and cleans off my cut. %he puts some

:eosporin on and puts 4 small band aids on. “9ou!re going to have

a bruise on your cheek but other than that you!re good to go” she

tells me. “$hanks” I tell her. I then turn to Jason “thanks for

stepping in” I tell him. &e smiles and nods. &e turns to -ucy “hey

do you mind if I stay for a while?” he asks. “9ea go ahead I!m sure

misty would like the company” she tells him. &e smiles “thank

you” he tells her.

%he gets up and walks out of the room. Jason leans over to me and

cups my head. &e rubs his thumb across my other cheek. “9ou

going to be ok?” he asks me. I nod. &e then does something that

makes me freee. &e leans over and kisses me lightly on the lips.

My cheeks are now on fire. &e pulls away and he sees my fire

@osie cheeks. &e smiles. #e spend the day together. #hen -uke

and the guys come home I hear lucy telling them what happened. I

then see them walk into the living room and I turn to look at him.

-uke pales when he sees my face. -uke walks over to me. “hey are

you ok?” he asks. I nod. -uke turns to Jason and asks what

happened. I excuse myself to go change.



(fter I change my cloths I head downstairs and find Jason sitting

on the couch with the guys. &e looks up and smiles when he seesme. I walk over to him and sit down next to him. “%o since

tomorrow is %aturday I was wondering if you would like to go out

on a date with me?” "osh asks. I smile “9ea” I tell him. “%o I!ll

pick you up around 1000” he tells me. I nod and he gets up and

kisses my head and walks out the door. #hen he!s gone -uke

looks at me. “%ince when did you get all sweet with Jason?” -uke

asks me. “%ince he punched the guy who slapped me” I told him.

-uke "ust laughs and walks away. I get ready for bed and went to

sleep.



I woke up and took a 6uick shower. I dressed in a dark blue dress

and black sandals. -ucy did my hair and my makeup. I heard the

door bell and -uke yelling for me from downstairs. -ucy finished

up my hair and walked me downstairs. Jason saw me and stared atme in amaement. I smiled. &e then pulled out a bou6uet of light

blue and purple hibiscus flowers. I took them and smiled. I took his

hand and he led me out to his car. 'nce I was in I smelled the

hibiscuses. “%o where are we going?” I ask. “It!s a surprise” he

tells me. “(nd also you look beautiful” he tells me. I blush. “9our

cut and bruises healed pretty fast” he tells me. “9ea I guess I heal

fast” I tell him. &e laughs and kisses my cheek.

#e get into town and stop at a cafA called little rock garden cafA.

“its really pretty” I tell him. he takes my hand as he walks me into

the cafA. (fter we are done eating we talk a lot and he takes me to

see a movie. (fter that he takes me home. “%o I!ll see you

tomorrow” I tell him. &e leans in and kisses me “not soon enough”

he tells me. “'k then why don!t you come over tomorrow morning

and we can go swimming and spend the day together until yourgame” I suggest. “'k” he tells me. #e kiss again and he leaves. I

walk inside and tell -ucy about tomorrow. %he says ok and I head

upstairs to my room.



I wake up around 340 and dress in a dark pink bikini and a beach

skirt. I head downstairs and grab a glass of orange "uice and sat

down at the table. I hear the guys come in with their swimming

trunks on. Jason was laughing with -uke until he sees me. I smiledand get up. he walked over to me. “ready?” he asked. I nod and we

walk out to the pool. &e "umps in and turns around “here "ump and

IBll catch you” he tells me. I drop the skirt and "ump in. he catches

me. I laugh. “you look good in that color” he tells me and kisses

me but then he is pulled away from me. I fall backward but am

caught by "osh. &e holds me. “hey Jason come save your girl” he

calls as he holds me. Jason smiles at me and breaks out of -uke!s

hold. &e swims towards me. I scream when "osh dives under water

with me. I feel feet grab my. I am then dragged into different arms.

I look at my new holder and see Jason smiling at me as he brings

me to the surface. I smile as he says “got you”.



I go upstairs and dress. (fter drying my hair and curling it I do my

makeup and slip on my shoes. I head downstairs and walk out with

him. &e drives to the football game. (fter he pays for my ticket I

take my seat and watch him do warm ups. &e looks at me and Ismile. &e smiles back. #hen the game begins I watch.

$hey win the game. I stand up and clap. Jason sees me and "umps

the guardrail. I run to him and he swoops me off my feet. “good

"ob” I tell him. he kisses me. I hear his team cheering. I smile as I

put my head on his. #e walk to the car and he takes me home.

#hen we stop at my door he kisses me. “don!t forget Criday is the

dance I!ll pick you up around 240” he tells me. I nod and kiss him.

when we break apart I go into my house. I walk up the stairs. I get

dressed for bed.

I am downstairs in a hurry. (fter eating my breakfast Jason is

outside waiting for me. I say goodbye and head outside. &e smiles



and I get into the car. &e leans in and kisses me while he starts the

car. &e puts a purple hibiscus flower in my hair. #hen we get to

school he helps me out of the car and he walks me to class.

>veryone in the hallway stares at me and Jason. &e drops me offand I walk into the class. June drops her bag on the floor and plops

down next to me. “so tell me everything” she tells me. I then

launch into the story of him asking me to the dance Dshe almost

passes outE and to his first football game and me being harassed in

the hallway. Jason punching the guy the guy slapping me him

taking me out to lunch and a movie on %aturday him coming over

on %unday morning and us going swimming and the rescue game

we played and him "umping over the guardrail and sweeping me

off my feet and kissing me. I swear her eyes were almost popping

out of her head. “is it official?” she asks. “I don!t know” I tell her.

“I think it is” she s6ueals. #hen lunch comes around I see Jason

and he takes me out to the courtyard. #e sit on a rock together and

eat lunch. (fter lunch he walks me to class and we kiss goodbye.



#hen I get home I get dressed in my pa"ama!s and go downstairs.

“hey misty so what do you want to do for birthday?” lucy asks. I

shrug. (fter dinner I head upstairs and do homework. #hen it!s

time for bed I put my stuff in my backpack and turn out the lights.(round 10/4pm I hear tapping on my balcony door. I sit up

in my bed and walk over to my balcony door and open the curtains.

I see Jason standing on the other side. “misty can I come in?” he

asks. I unlock the door and open it. “what are you doing here?” I

ask. &e smiles “I wanted to see you” he tells me. I blush. &e grabs

me and kisses me. then looks at me “nice pa"amas” he tells me.

“and nice room” he says and looks around. “you look sleepdeprived” he tells me. “cant sleep” I tell him. “here I can hold you

while you sleep” he tells me. “umF” I start to say. “I wont try

anything” he adds. “ok” I tell him and walk over to my bed. &e

gets in and I slid in beside him. he pulls me up against him and I

snuggle against him. I fall asleep instantly.



#hen I wake up Jason is gone. )ut I get dressed fast and do my

hair and makeup. +rabbing my backpack I head downstairs. (fter I

eat I hear a horn honk from outside. I walk outside and see Jason

standing there with sunglasses on. I smile as he kisses me.#hen we get to school we walk inside. (fter school I was

reminded about my birthday being tomorrow.



#hen I get into Jason!s car I find him holding a bou6uet of

hibiscuses. “what are these for?” I ask. “your birthday” he tells me.

I blush. “oh and don!t forget dance tonight” he reminds me. I nod

as he kisses me.



(fter school I am surprised by -ucy handing me a present. I take it

and open it. I find a phone in it. “thank you” I tell her and hug her.

“lets get you dressed for the dance” she tells me walking me

upstairs. #hen I!m dressed she does my hair and makeup. #hen

she hands me my shoes I slip them on. I hear a knock on the front

door and "osh calling for me. “have fun and you look gorgeous”

she tells me. I hug her “thank you” I whisper in her ear. I then head

downstairs. >veryone gasps when I walk down the stairs. I see

Jason in a black tuxedo holding a bou6uet of purple hibiscuses in

his hand. I walk over to him. “you look amaing” he tells me as hekisses me. he then leads me to the car. #hen we arrive to the party

we sit down on a bench under a tree. #e spend a lot of the night

together.

“ill be right back” he tells me and walks off. I hear something

behind me and see a cloth come over my mouth before I pass out.

Jason



“so mistyF” I start but I then don!t see misty. )ut what I do see is

a cloth and her flowers on the floor. $hen I remember her saying

something about people being after her. I start looking around.

Misty

I come to concouseness only to be tied up. I then see a guy walk

towards me. he hits me with the back of his hand. “you should

have staid dead” he yells at me and hits me again. &e then gets out

a knife and holds it to my neck. I start crying. &e then takes the

knife and cuts my arms in 4 places. I scream as he hits me again.

&e leaves.

Jason

I burst thru the door “its misty she!s missing” I yell. >veryone runs

to me. I explain to them what happened and we head to the police.

Misty

&e comes back the next day. &e hits me more and cuts me more. I

can barely stay concouse. My leg seems to be brocken and my arm

too. Im bleeding a lot and bruised. 'n the third day he comes back

and hits me more. )ut I hear pounding on the door. “fbi we are

coming in” I hear someone yell. I then see bright lights flash in my



eyes and gunshots. I start crying. I then see a girl officer come up

to me. “misty your safe now I ve got you” she tells me. I see a guy

cut me lose and I fall into the girl officers arms and cry. %he holds

me and tells me its ok. “she has a brocken arm and leg andmultiple sever cuts on the arms and legs. )ruises indicate this man

hitting her but no sexual assalt” I hear a man say. “we are going to

get you out of here” she tells me. then the man who cut me lose

picks me up. I scream in pain. “we need to get her to a hospital

now or she might not make it” I hear the guy say. I start fading out.

“misty can you try to stay concouse?” he asks me. I don!t answer

because I cant move. “we need to go now” he yells as he "umps

into a car. Im set on some kind of bed. (nd then I pass out.

Jason

Im driving to the hospital with her family. I run inside. -ucy runs

up to a doctor “where is she?” she asks. “is she ok? please tell me”

she crys. “mam please sit down” the doctor tells her. she sits downI sit down next to her. “misty is in critical condition. %he has a

brocken leg and arm. %evear cuts on her legs and arms and a

concousion. %he was beat and drugged we don!t know what to do”

he tells her. “will she make it?” I ask. “she has lost a lot of blood

from the cuts and we can not be sure at this moment” he tells me.

lucy burries her head in "ohns chest. “can we see her?” lucy asks.

“yes this way” the doctor says. #e walk into a room. I see misty

on a bed all bruiesd up with bandages on her arms and legs and one

around her head. I hear lucy cry out when she sees her. I pale.

“where is she?” I hear someone say outside the door. I turn around

and see a big man in a military suit at the door. “sir you cant go in

there” the nurse tells him. “I want to see my sister” he tells her and



walks into the room. “oh not you to misty” he whispers as he walks

over to her. “who are you?” "ohn asks. the guy looks at him “im

millitary officer "ack perks and I came as soon as I heard. I am the

Misty

My eyes flutter open and I look into a dim lit room. “misty” I hear

a awfully fimiliar voice say. I look and see "ack standing there in

his military officer uniform. “"ack” I whisper in a weak voice. “ohthank god” he exclaims. “am I dead?” I ask. “no your not dead

mist” he tells me. “they found me” I tell him. he pales “you

mean?” he asks. I nod. “oh god no” he whispers. “you mean the

guysF” "ason starts but is cut off by a glare from my brother. “"ack

be nice he!s the only one I told” I tell him. he nods. “I thought you

were over seas” I tell him. he walks over to me and holds my hand

“I came as soon as I heard what happened” he tells me. I then lookat the door and see about 8 fbi agents walk in. “oh my god it!s the

girl from case 13G” a girl says. “miss perks can you answer a few

6uestions?” one officer asks. I nod. “what do you remember?” he

asks me. “I remember going to prom with "ason. &e went to get me

a drink and a hand came over my mouth holding some kind of wet

cloth. $hen I remember waking up tied to something and a big man

telling mr I should have staied dead and hitting me and cutting me”

I start to cry. Jack s6ueees my hand. “and comeing in a lot and

hitting and cutting me more and then the door burst open and I saw

white lights and heard gun shots and then a woman telling me I

was safe” I said and started to cry really hard. “did you recognie

the person who took you?” the agent asked. “yes I remember him



My family comes an visits me often. “so how are you feeling?”

"ason asks me as he walks in. “better” I tell him. he kisses my

forhead. I then look over at the comotion at the door. I see "ack

come in with 5 other soldiers. Jack is holding a bo6uet of roses. I

smile and shake my head. &e smiles back. &e sets the flowers

down and hugs me. I gasp. “oh sorry broken right” he tells me.

“hello misty” I hear a voice say. I look around "ack and see danny

standing there. “hello danny how are you?” I ask. “im doing

alright” he tells me. I then see a flash of a dark satin dress burst

thru the door. It was "une. “misty” she screams. “oh god someone

do something she looks about ready to pass out” I say. Jason walks

over to her “"une calm down she is going to be alright” he tells her.

she then gives a angry stare at him “you left her” she screams andwalks to him. I groan “"ack do smoething” I tell him. he nods and

walks over to her “um "une right?” he asks. she turns around and

stares. “and who are you?” she asks. I look at "ason while her

attention is on "ack and nod him over to me. he nods and walks

over to me. “im officer "ack perks I am mistys brother” he tells her.

she starts closeing in on my brother. I groan again “ oh god first

she want to kill you and now she wants to get good with my brother” I say. Jason laughs. Junes head whips around and stares at

"ason. %he starts getting angry. “"une stop ok I don!t want fighting

at all” I tell her. she frowns “sorry misty” she tells me. “good god”

I groan.



4 weeks later I was released. I still had a brocken leg and arm but

most of my cuts and bruises were healed. #hen I got home I

climbed into bed and rested. I had school tomorrow so I went to bed early.



I woke up and took a shower. I headed downstairs and found "ack

sitting at the table. I froe “what are you doing here?” I ask. “I am

here for a while. are you going to school?” he asks. I nod “I was



"ust about to drive to school I "ust got my car back” I tell him. he

nods and hugs me. I grab my key and head out the door. $hrowing

my backpack into the passanger seat I head off to school.

#hen I get to school I turn off my car and get out. “you have a

car?” I hear a shrill girl!s voice ask. I look up and see "une. “yes I

do” I tell her. “awesome” she exclaims. I smile as I grab my bag. I

put it on and head inside. #hen I get into class I head to my desk. I

find a letter taped to it. I rip the letter off and look at it. BI have agame tonight will you come. Its at 540 but I have to be there early.

-ove Jason!. I smile at the letter.



walks me over to my bed and we lay there. &e covers me up and I

lay my head on his chest.



I then head upstairs and change into something comfortable. I hear

a knock at my door. #alk over to it and open it. I see "ack standing

there. I smile at him. “I know” he tells me. I start to say something

but he cuts me off “but if he helps you sleep and feel safe then I!m

ok with it butF” he starts but I cut him off this time “"ack I!m still

a virgin” I tell him. &e nods and hugs me. I hug him back. #hen

he lets me go I stand there and the I begin to feel weak. I fall to the

ground and "ack catches me. “misty” he whispers. “your burning

up” he tells me. “-ucy” he calls. -ucy comes running up the stairs.

“%omething!s wrong” he tells her. “ok um put her on her bed and I

will get some wet towels” she tells him as she runs out of the room



and into the bathroom. %he rushes out with a wet washcloth. %he

lays it on my head. Jason comes running up the stairs and looks at

me “what!s wrong?” he asks. “we don!t know” -ucy tells him.

“what can we do?” Jason asks. “let her rest and see what happens” "ack tells him. Jason nods and walks over to me. he holds my hand

“your going to be ok” he tells me. I nod. $hen I hear a knock on

the door. -ucy opens it and I see someone familiar. Justin. “hey

Justin how are you?” "ohn ask. Justin looks at me I scream. I "ump

up out of bed and hit the wall. “oh god they cant know go away” I

scream. “misty calm down” Justin tells me. “:o I won!t. +o away

they can!t know” I scream at him. “hey they don!t have to know I

wont tell” he tells me. “I don!t care now go away” I scream. $hen

for some reason I pass out.

Jason

“what was that?” I ask. Jack shrugs and looks at Justin “do you

want to explain what "ust happened?” he asks him. “can!t sworn tosecrecy” he tells him. “and I don!t 6uite understand it myself” he

adds. I walk over to the unconscious misty and look at her. “she!s

out” I say. “here lets get her on the bed” "ack tells me. I pick her up

and lay her on the bed.

Misty

I wake up in my bed. Bmisty babe lets make up! a voice says.

( voice I all too well recognie. “max” I whisper. Bhey babe I

made you so come home to me! he says. “what am I?” I screamed.

$hen I am sucked into a vision. It was of this family getting killed.



I then realied I was being touched. (nd someone was witnessing

it. I yanked myself out and looked into Jason!s eyes. “what "ust

happened?” he asked. My eyes widened with fear. “oh god I

whished this wouldn!t happen” I said and realied he was stillholding me. “don!t touch me” I screamed and he flew back away

from me out the door. I burst into tears as I shut the door and

locked it. “misty let me in” he tells me thru the door. I ignore him.

Jason

I realie she wont let me in and that Justin might "ust help. I rundown the stairs and see Justin sitting on the couch. &e looks up.

“its misty” I tell him he nods and run up the stairs. &e gets to the

door. “misty can you come out and talk to me?” he ask. “no” she

screams. “ill come in anyway” he tells her. “dude the doors

locked” I tell him. he looks at the door. “dam it she!s mind blocked

the room” he mutters. “I cant unlock it” he adds looking at my

confused expression. $hen we hear a scream. “get the hell out ofmy mind” I hear her scream. “misty what is going on open the

door” I tell her. “if you hurt Jason I will rip your head off= :ow get

out of my dam head” she screams. “im going to have to break the

door down” Justin tells me. “cover your ears”. &e looks at the door

and it fly!s inward. I see misty on the ground screaming holding

her head. I run to her “don!t touch her she might kill you” Justin

tells me. I look at him. I then see her and she passes out. “can I

touch her now?” I ask. “let me make sure” he tells me. he walks

over to her and touches her arm. %he doesn!t move. “yep she!s out.

you can touch her” he tells me.



“&ow did she "ust toss me out of the room without touching me?” I

ask Justin. “its complicated” he tells me. I nod and push some of

her hair out of her face. I lay her on the bed.

(bout an hour later she wakes up. she now has purple and gold

eyes. “misty are you wearing contacts?” I ask. “no why?” she ask.

“-ook at your eyes” I tell her. she looks in the mirror and pales.

“so him being in my head was real” she whispers to herself. “who

was in your head?” I ask her. “oh god he!s coming for me” she

whispers. “who!s coming for you?” I ask. “max” I hear a voice

from behind me. I spin around and see Justin. I hear misty give a

strangled scream and I see her being held by a big man. “did you

miss me?” he asks. “oh yea I missed you” she growled and her

eyes turned electric purple. &e gave a scream and fell to the floor.

&e curled up in a protective ball. “misty stop this isn!t you” Justin

tells her. “oh I missed you ale. (nd tell max he can screw

himself” she hisses. $he guy screams. Justin turns to me “you can

help her she cant use this on you. 9ou!re the only chance she!s got

to regain control” Justin tells me. I nod and walk over to her. I take

her shoulders and turn her towards me. she looks at me “misty its

ok you need to let go” I tell her. something changes in her eyes and

they return back to the pale purple she woke up with. she then

bursts into tears. I pull her to me and she cries. #hen she!s calmed

down I tell her to get ready for bed. I leave the room and follow

Justin down stairs.

“ok tell me what "ust happened in there. #hy did my girlfriend do

that? #hat is she?” I ask. “we don!t know. she!s the first of her

kind” Justin tells me. “but she cant lose control like that again she

can bring hell on earth if she dose” he adds. “we?” I ask. “7C%:).



I work for them” he tells me. “#hat is 7C%:)?” I ask. “protection

for super natural beings. %he is the most important case ever” he

tells me. I nod.



I dressed in yoga shorts and a yoga bra. I slid in bed and turned out

the lights and fell asleep. )ut I was sucked into a dream. I was on a

beach in a bikini. ( hot pink bikini. “hey babe” I heard a voice say

behind me. I spin around and see max. “max” I whisper. “you look

hot” he tells me. he walk over to me and grabs my waist. I push

him away. “hey you belong to me and I will have you baby” he

tells me. “no” I scream as he comes after me again.

Jason

“so you work forF” I start to ask when I hear screaming coming

from upstairs making the house shake. I bolt up the stairs and find

misty screaming in her bed. I run to her side “misty wake up” I tell

her. her eyes fly open and she tries to punch me but Justin grans

her hand. “its ok” he tells her. she then starts crying. I hold her.

me?” I ask. Jason!s grip on my waist tightens “it!s ok Justin and I

are going to help you” he tells me. I nod. &e starts kissing my

neck.

I grab my guitar from under my bed and start singing. I then grab

my music book and write a song. I sigh and put it away. I start

playing the guitar and singing again. I then migrate into my

swinging chair and start singing and playing the guitar. I then put

my guitar away and lay back first on the bed and read a magaine.

I am so board. I then get up and look outside. It is raining. I shut

my curtains and lay back on my bed and stare at the ceiling. I then

grab my phone and text Jason. Bwhere are you?! I ask. Bernes! he

texts back. Boh ok! I text him. Bwhat are you ok?! he texts Byea "ust

extremely board! I text him. Bok ill be back soon! he says. Blove

you! I text him. Blove you! he texts back. I lay my phone on my bed

and sigh. I plug my headphones in and listen to my IHpod. I "ust lay

on my bed and blast my music and I don!t hear from max.

Im laying on my bed listening to music and reading a magaine

when Jason comes in. I smile. &e walks over to me and holds me. I

snuggle into him.
