Request I am researching gallantry awards presented by the Sovereign to Police officers in the North West. Thomas Mawdsley a Mersey Tunnel Constable was awarded a Queens Commendation for Brave Conduct in 1980 for which I am trying to locate further information about. Please find attached letter regarding this matter and a letter of authority from Lancashire’s Chief Constable for my research. If you can assist with this it would be much appreciated.
Response Please find attached the information we have been able to gather in relation to your enquiry. I hope this is of interest to you. All the best with your research.
