Introduction

The patented, low profile AVTrac raceway system meets

accessibility standards for slope and rise as specified

by the ADA - Americans with Disabilities Act. The 8-foot

(2.4m) raceway can be installed underneath new or existing

commercial grade carpet and is available in two versions. The

AVTrac 482C accommodates matching carpet in the aluminum

raceway top cap for use in new installations or installations

where new carpet is being installed. The AVTrac 482R includes

a black rubber strip for installation in the raceway cap and is

ideal for retrofit applications. For best results, installation by a

professional carpet installer is recommended.

The modular AAP Enclosure supports all of the hundreds

of available Extron Architectural Adapter Plates for a fully

customizable connectivity solution. Popular AAPs include

USB, HDMI, DisplayPort , VGA and audio pass-through plates;

voice, data, and control pass-through plates; and powered

products such as Extron PoleVault® and MTP Series twisted

pair transmitters. The enclosure provides two double-space and

two triple-space AAP openings, sufficient for mounting up to

10 single-space AAPs. Blank plates are also available to cover

any unused AAP openings. Two AVTrac AAP Enclosures can

be mounted side-by-side on separate raceways utilizing the

optional AVTrac Extra Channel Kit.

Optional accessories are available to customize the system

to your installation needs for a professional finish that is

sure to please the most demanding clients.

The proliferation of technology in the workplace has increased

the demand for data, power, and A/V signal connectivity.

Architects, interior designers, and A/V system integrators are

often forced to compromise both aesthetics and system designs

in order to accommodate preexisting network drops and power

outlets. Alternatives, such as poke-through

devices and floor boxes, can be too

conspicuous, costly, or even

prohibited by building owners.

connections. AVTrac is a low profile,

floor-mounted raceway system with a

flexible, modular AAP - Architectural Adapter Plate

enclosure for A/V, network, and power connectivity. AVTrac

offers a discreet, cost-effective alternative to floor coring for

poke-through devices, trenching for floor boxes, and raised

access flooring systems. It allows power, data, and A/V signal

connection points to be located wherever they’re needed, with

minimal impact on room design or aesthetics. AVTrac is ideal

for use in classrooms, training centers and other reconfigurable

spaces, and corporate boardrooms, as well as for adding new

A/V connectivity to legacy installations and architecturally

sensitive environments.

through devices, floor boxes, and raised-access

flooring systems. AVTrac provides the flexibility

to place A/V signal connections where they are

needed. The raceway system is ideal for use

in new and retrofit applications as well as in

architecturally sensitive environments.

Fast, Efficient InstallationAVTrac can be installed and fully operational in

a matter of hours, keeping labor costs and down

time to an absolute minimum.

ADA CompliantAVTrac complies with ADA – Americans with

Disabilities Act standards for slope and rise, and

Easy Access Cover PanelThe AVTrac enclosure features a removable top

panel for quick and convenient cable termination

and connector installation.

Modular AAP EnclosureAVTrac’s modular AAP Enclosure features

openings for two double-space and two triple-

space AAPs for a fully customizable connectivity

solution. Two AVTrac AAP Enclosures can be

mounted side-by-side in separate raceways

utilizing the optional AVTrac Extra Channel Kit.

The enclosure can accommodate any of the

hundreds of available Extron AAPs with popular

audio, video, phone, and data connectors, as

well as one AVTrac AC Power Module. Additional

accessories are available for customization.

UL/c-UL ListedAVTrac has been tested by Underwriters

Laboratories, Inc. to nationally recognized safety

standards. It is also approved for use in New

York City by the NYC Dept. of Buildings: Electrical

Division.

AC Power Modules for AVTrac AAP EnclosureAC Power Modules are designed for use with the

AVTrac Floor-Mount Raceway System and the

AVTrac Extra Channel Kit. AVTrac AAP Enclosures

support one AC power module. Discrete AC

outlets are available for the US, Central Europe,

and other major world markets. The US version

is available with two or four unswitched Edison-

style AC outlets, while all other versions feature

one unswitched AC outlet. A Universal AC Outlet

that accepts a variety of plug types including UK,

2-pin Europlug, Italy, Denmark, and India, is also

Inlay Cap OptionsAVTrac is available in two versions to fit the

installation requirements of most environments.

The AVTrac 482C features an open channel

for customer-selected, unpadded commercial

grade carpet between 1/4 inch and 5/16 inch

(7 mm to 9 mm) thick to match the surrounding

décor. The AVTrac 482C is ideal for use in new

installations, and those in which new carpet is

being installed. The optional AVTrac Rubber Inlay

Kit includes a black rubber inlay that mounts

directly in the AVTrac 482C carpet inlay channel.

The AVTrac 482R includes a black rubber inlay

strip for installation in the top cap of the raceway.

It is ideal for retrofit applications where additional

matching carpet is not readily available.

Optional Extension KitThe matching AVTrac Extension Kit includes

an additional 4 feet (1.2 m) of cable raceway

and side ramps. It can be easily cut to length

as needed and allows A/V, power, and data

connectors to be placed from 8 feet (2.4 m) to

16 feet (4.8 m) from a wall or other area The

AVTrac Extension Kit can be used in combination

with the Rubber Inlay Kit.

Extra Channel KitThe AVTrac Extra Channel Kit allows the

AVTrac system to run two or more cable raceway

channels side by side between one set of side

ramps. The Extra Channel Kit provides additional

raceway capacity for A/V cable routing. It is

packaged in two 4-foot (1.2 m) sections for a

total length of 8 feet (2.4 m).

Transition AdaptersThe Raceway Transition Adapter is designed

to work with wall-mounted cable management

systems, including Wiremold 4000 Series™

steel raceways. The AVTrac Raceway Transition

Adapters are available in matching Wiremold

Ivory ScuffCoat™ finish.

The AVTrac Retrofit Transition Adapter is

designed to provide a smooth transition from

the AVTrac floor-mounted raceway to a wall-

mounted patch panel. It facilitates cable pass-

through from wall-mounted AC outlets and

A/V connection plates to the raceway system.

In addition, it provides an alternative solution

when base studs cannot be cut due to stringent

building codes.

AVTrac Accessories

The Extension is an optional 4' (1.2 m) raceway track extension kit for use with the AVTrac Floor-Mount Raceway System.

The Extra Channel Kit allows two or more cable raceway channels to run side by side between one set of AVTrac side ramps.

The Raceway Transition Adapter is designed to work with wall-mounted cable management systems, including Wiremold 4000 Series™ steel raceways.

The Rubber Inlay Kit provides a durable, 0.22" (5.6 mm) rubber strip for an aesthetic alternative to matching carpet.

The Cable Pass-Through Kit mounts at the end of an AVTrac Extension Kit and is designed for applications where

cables need to be passed from the wall to a hollow table leg, desk, or a fixed lectern location.

The Rough-in Adapter is a raceway-to-base stud cable pass-through that provides a clean transition for routing

electrical conduit and A/V cables from inside a finished wall into the AVTrac raceway.

The AAP Enclosure is designed for use with the AVTrac Floor-Mount Raceway System and Extra Channel Kit. The

enclosure includes two double-space and two triple-space AAP – Architectural Adapter Plate openings.

The AVTrac Retro Trans Adapter is designed to provide a smooth transition from the AVTrac floor-mounted raceway to a

wall-mounted patch panel. It facilitates cable pass-through from wall-mounted AC outlets and A/V connection plates to the raceway system.

AVTrac is available with discrete AC outlets for the US, Central Europe, and other major world
