Avon’s First Green R&D Center
Located in Jinqiao, the 40,000 square-foot stand-alone building spans
six floors and incorporates many green principles. The facility houses
scientists in the areas of product development, safety and quality
testing, microbiology, chemical engineering and consumer research.
This R&D Center is focusing on developing beauty products, including
skincare, personal care, color, and hair care products.
Avon’s Green Building Promise is a global commitment to construct all
major new Avon buildings according to stringent green standards,
including local green building codes and the U.S. Green Building
Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)
Green Building Rating System.
Avon China Manufacturing
Plant
Avon manufactures many cosmetic products in China in an
Avon-owned and operated facility. The facility maintain the
same facility the other manufacturing sites throughout the
world.
As one of the world’s leading beauty companies, operating
for 130 years, consumer safety is Avon’s number-one
priority. We are committed to selling only safe products,
using only safe ingredients in our cosmetics products, and
complying with applicable regulations in every country in
which Avon products are sold. The safety of every Avon
product must be substantiated prior to introduction and sale
to consumers. Every ingredient and product must be
approved for safety prior to the product being sold, and
every one of our manufacturing facilities is required to
ensure that its products are manufactured in accordance
with written specifications set by the Avon R&D Centre in
the US for the raw ingredients, the manufacturing process
and finished products.
Avon Products Manufacturing Inc.
Located in Calamba Premiere International Park, Laguna, Philippines, the
55,000 sqm facility manufactures and distributes cosmetics, personal
care, and fragrance products to Asia markets and other Avon markets
globally.
Supply chain operations is comprised of new product development,
sourcing, supply chain planning, manufacturing, quality, logistics, EHS,
finance, HR and IT departments, and the regional planning employees
based in the facility.
