The School kit
About the school program:
• Objective:providing school children with information about best practices to protect themselves from Avian Flu and to minimize the risk of infection.
• Partners:This is an initiative that is implemented in collaboration with two important partners: the Ministry of Education and the Egyptian Red Crescent with funding from the Government of Japan.
About the school program:
• Target Audiencean estimated 3.7 million school children between 6 and 12 years of age in 13 governorates of Upper and Lower Egypt will benefit from this program.
• More than 8,000 teachers were trained to utilize an interactive educational package that will deliver the key messages related to hand washing with soap and staying away from poultry.
• The specially designed school kit has different games and different interactive activities for children to play with during the class session.
