Clinical Expertise – Medical DirectorA professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine at UC San Diego Health System, where he has practiced in the Emergency Department for over 20 years.
Served as Medical Director for the County of San Diego Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the former Chief of Staff for the Emergency Department at UC San Diego Health System.
He is the Medical Director for AviaMedix. Additionally he serves as Medical Director for Risk Management for the entire UC San Diego Health System.
Dr. Vilke also serves as the Director of Clinical Research for UCSD’s Emergency Department where he has mentored research for over 100 students and physicians. Gary has published over 180 original medical articles and 46 book chapters.
