Aver + Capture, Aver + Record and AverVision **** The purpose of this handout is to clear up how to use these two parts of the Aver+ software. Aver + Capture This will capture JPEGs or pictures of three possibilities… 1. Screen Capture – All that you see on the monitor will be captured. 2. Page Capture – Will capture all of the white area and its contents. 3. Region Capture – You drag and select the area you want to copy. You can select here to paste the picture to the same page or a new one. Aver + Record This function will capture what you are doing on the screen as well as the audio to go along with the lesson. This includes what you are doing under the document camera as long as that has been selected on the tool bar. It will create a video file that can be played back using the Aver+ software or Windows Media Player.

AverVision Document Camera Tools Using the capture and record tool via the document camera tools is different from the first two shared in this document. This will only capture what is happening on the document camera, it will not capture any annotations or other functions when using the Aver+ software tools.

Single Capture

For Continuous Capture Go to Settings on the AverVision Tools

They are saved as a series of JPEGs that can be run through Windows Picture and Fax Viewer individually or in a slide show. You do not need to name the file. See the hint above.

Browse to find your save location before starting capture. Hint: create a new folder for each continuous capture.

Interval Time…how often a picture is taken. It can be set from every 5 seconds to 1 minute.

Capture Time…from 1 minute to 72 hours. Set it here before you start to capture. An example for use here is recording a butterfly emerging from a chrysalis.
