Welcome to Newcastle Community Cinema’s Autumn/Winter programme, your guide to what’s on well into the New Year, continuing to bring you our best picks from world cinema.

We are looking forward to welcoming audiences old and new to enjoy a whole new variety of exciting film titles. By now you should be familiar with the specific threads of our programme and our screening schedule, if not take a look at the various strands on offer and mark your diary for the ones you don’t want to miss.

We invite you visit NCC, to join a growing number of cinema goers who are willing to challenge their usual viewing tastes and explore the diverse range of films we have arranged for your enjoyment and entertainment.

MATINEE ICONS

Here at NCC we are constantly striving to bring film fans the widest range of top drawer cinema, from every possible cinematic angle. As such, we proudly present you with our selection of film seasons and themed movie genres, carefully chosen to bring you the widest spectrum of great motion picture, designed to cater for all tastes, ages and audiences.

NCC’S scheduled screenings begin the 1st weekend in every month with Friday Fright Night and will follow the same pattern monthly, so have a look at the key below to familiarise yourself with the different film seasons, colour codes, allocated screening days and times.

For individual film details follow the colour coded bars throughout the rest of the programme.

The 1st Sunday of every month at 1pm. A collection of fantastic film, animated and otherwise, for our younger audience. Featuring exciting, adventurous movies from recent years, for the young - and the young at heart.

The 2nd Tuesday of every month at 8pm. A bespoke collection of the very best that global cinema has to offer.

NOMAD

Screening as and when our cinema wants to wanderNCC roams to weird and wonderful locations for a unique and special film experience.

BLOCKBUSTER

The 3rd Saturday of every month at 3pm. Blockbuster Saturday is our season of the biggest, baddest, most explosive, effects laden movies that HAVE to be seen on the big screen.

SELECT

The 3rd Saturday of every month at 8pm. A diverse selection of brave and unusual indie films, festival favourites and documentaries that blew our minds - regardless of subject.

EVENT

Screening as and when we feel like dressing up.Occasional special themed screenings with that little something extra to enrich your film experience.

The 1st Friday of every month at 8pm Hand picked cuts of the very finest ‘“popcorn spillers” in global horror, thrillers, and psychologically shocking film. Not for the faint hearted.
