[3 00 ] AUTUMN DAY FORAYS, 1956 Forays were held as follows: 22 September, Windsor Forest; 29 September, High Wycombe (joint foray with South Bucks Natural History Society); 6 October, Virginia Water; 13 October, Juniper Hall; 20 October, Burnham Beeches ; 28 October, Oxshott. There are no outstanding finds to report. The number of members attending varied from about twenty at Oxshott to over forty at Virginia Water. The latter is usually the most popular Foray; could this be due to the excellent tea that Dr Topping, Dr Madge and their students are good enough to provide each year? s. M. The Council decided that the specimens should be deposited in the general collection of the Herbarium, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
