Dear Taxpayer:
Delivering the best education and training for ourcommunity is our job at Autry Technology Center.Since we opened our doors in 1967, we haveconnected generations of students to brighterfutures and assisted many local businesses with on-the-job training.
We are proud to hear about the young welder who isnow making over $50 an hour, just a few short yearsafter leaving our program. Success stories like his,and many others, inspire the sta to do what theydo bestteach students to thrive in their careers bylearning in a hands-on environment using the latesttechnology.
Local industry helps shape curriculum for ourprograms, as well as for shorter classes. We value ourpartnerships with local employers, area high schools,
higher education and our community. Togetherwe are able to prepare students to be productivemembers of Oklahomas workforce.
On behalf of our board of education, our sta andour students, we thank you for your support andencourage you to come see what Autry can do foryou. We look forward to the opportunity to help youconnect to your future!

PARTNER IN PROGRESS 2010
Aerosock, Inc.Aerosock, Inc. was founded in 1985 with a goal of manufacturing thebest windsock in the industry. Donna Lemmons has succeeded inbuilding a business which sells windsocks and related items across theglobe as they set an example of building a successful small businesswithin a CareerTech incubation program.
This company was one of the early clients of the James W. Strate Centerfor Business Development at Autry Technology Center. What started as asmall company servicing primarily the oil and gas industry now provides
products for the aviation industry and many others. Currently, 90% oftheir products are shipped outside the state. It has also expanded tooer wind sock frames and printing services.
Their entrepreneurial spirit and their willingness to help other emergingbusinesses made them an obvious choice as our Partner for ProgressAward for 2010, says Brian Gaddy, Autrys coordinator for the Center. Weare proud of their success and appreciative of their partnership with usand the CareerTech system.
As Aerosock continues to grow, add employees and expand theirmarkets, Donna always nds time to work with other clients at TheCenter who are working through earlier stages of business development. She gives back to The Center and Autry by donating customizedwindsocks and providing Autry Technology Center decals. She serves asa strong example to young women considering going into business.
Aerosock exemplies how well the business incubation process canwork. The company moved to Enid with goals to provide a steadysecond income and it has, instead, blossomed into a thriving business.Aerosock is an advocate, client and partner for Autry. The relationship
benets both organizations: Aerosock receives consulting, training andall the benets of being a part of The Center, and in turn; thecompany helps Autry better serve Enid and other growingcompanies.
This partnership continues to grow. Both organizationslook forward to more successes. This collaborationallows Autry and The Center to fulll its mission, while helping Aerosock grow far beyond itsoriginal goals.
Their entrepreneurial
spirit and their
willingness to help
other emerging
businesses madethem an obvious choice
as our Partner for
Progress Award for
2010.
