Moen was using Centric Project, an unsupported application to process our prototype orders, and this was preventing the company from upgrading Internet Explorer

Business Need

Part of the project was to update our “Hot Jobs” system from paper to electronic

Migrate MSOs from Centric to Winshuttle with integration to SAP

Enable tracking and control, automatic notification triggers, and data validation of

Hot Jobs requests

Increase visibility of all Model Shop Orders

Provide improved functionality to order form, and mobile capabilities (iPad, iPhone)

Update Hot Jobs system from paper to electronic

MSO form to create purchase req in SAP for external vendors

Implement reporting capabilities for Hot Jobs & MSOs through QlikView

Technician View

Model Shop Order Form


A model shop order is a rapid prototype of a part or assembly used for product development.

Some model shop orders are fulfilled internally, in the Moen Prototype Lab, and the rest externally through vendors.

What is a Model Shop Order?


Four loops: internal, external, in process, and cancel request
