EXPERIMENT PURPOSE:1. To understand and capable of utilizing programmable logic controller to perform control system. 2. To understand the working principle of automatic washing machine.EXPERIMENT APPLIANCES:1. PLC- FPO30 Programmable Logic Controller Trainer.

6. FPWIN GR2 PLC Ladder Programming SoftwareEXPERIMENT LADDER DIAGRAM:

Ladder DiagramEXPERIMENT PROCEDURE:1. Open PLC Ladder Programming Software ( FPWIN GR2 ) as shown in figure below, follow the step :-(a) Click START ( ALL PROGRAMS ( PANASONIC-EW CONTROL ( FPWIN GR 2 ( FPWIN GR

(b) After select FPWIN GR, a figure as shown below will appear on the desktop and wait until the software is open.

(c) When the FPWIN GR is open, dialog box pop up as shown below and select NEW for new program.

(d) Select PLC Type on the dialog box as shown below.

(e) After select OK, then you can start your programming in the new FPWIN file.2. Connect the Interfacing cable to computer3. Wiring the test lead from Automatic Washing Machine Experiments Module to PLC-FPO30 Trainer as shown in figure below :

4. Turn ON PLC-FPO30 Trainer

5. Download Automatic Washing Machine Experiments Module program from FPWIN GR. i) Download the program

After program the ladder diagram, you can now download the program onto the PLC for execution and run it.

(a) Click the button to download the program onto PLC

(b) Press [YES] on the dialog box to confirm transfer the program to the PLC. Please ensure that your PLC is connected to the computer and switch mode is switched to PROG mode before download the program onto it.

(c) When downloading begins, the program will be automatically placed in the monitoring mode.

6. Set both I/O port polarities to positive (+).7. Operate in following steps:(a) Press start, water intake electromagnetic valve opens, water intake indicator is ON. (b) Press upper limit button, water intake indicator is OFF. Paddle rotates forward and reverse, two lights will be ON and OFF by turn.

(c) Wait for a few seconds, water drain indicator will be ON. Drying barrel will be ON for 5 seconds, then OFF.

(d) Press lower limit button, water drain indicator will be OFF. Water intake indicator will be ON.

(e) Repeat steps from (2)-(4) for two times.

(f) When press lower limit button the third time, buzzer indicator will be ON and OFF for 3 times, then the whole process is over.

(g) In operation, press stop button to finalize the whole process.

(h) Manual water drain is independent, when press manual water drain button, you need to press lower limit button to stop draining.EXPERIMENT OBSERVATIONS:1) When press Start button (X0), the process will start and automatically Intake Electromagnetic Valve will open to flow the water to the washing machine.

2) When the water reached to the Upper Limit Sensor, sensor will ON and automatically will ON the Stirring Wheel to start turn.

3) When the Stirring Wheel stop turning, the Drain Water Indicator Valve will open and remove all the water from washing machine.

4) At the same time, drying barrel will be ON for 5 seconds to dry the clothes.

5) When the water reached to the Lower Limit Sensor, sensor will ON and automatically Intake Electromagnetic Valve will open to flow the new water to the washing machine.

6) Repeat steps 2-4 for 2 times.

7) When the water reached to the Lower Limit Sensor, sensor will ON for the third times, Buzzer Indicator will be ON and OFF automatically for 3 times, and finally the whole process is over.WARRANTY AND STANDARD CONDITIONS OF SALE

The Seller warrants to the Purchaser that any equipment manufactured by it and bearing its name plate to be free from defects in material or workmanship, under proper and normal use and service, as follows: If, at any time within one (1) year from the date of shipment, the Purchaser notifies the Seller that in his opinion, the equipment is defective, and returns the equipment to the Sellers originating factory prepaid, and the Sellers inspection finds the equipment to be defective in material or workmanship except part like switches, knob, push button, lighting, etc. the Seller will promptly correct it by either, at its option, repairing any defective part or material or replacing it free of charge and return shipping lowest cost transportation prepaid by purchaser (if Purchaser requests premium transportation, Purchaser will be billed for difference in transportation costs). If inspection by the Seller does not disclose any defect in material or workmanship, the Sellers regular charges will apply. This warranty shall be effective only if use and maintenance is in accordance with Seller's instructions and written notice of a defect is given to the Seller within such period. THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IS IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTIES, WRITTEN, ORAL OR IMPLIED. SPECIFICALLY, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THERE IS NO WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR ANY PURPOSE. The liability of the Seller shall be limited to the repair or replacement of materials or parts as above set forth.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Seller shall not be liable for any claim or consequential or special loss or damage arising or alleged to have arisen from any delay in delivery or malfunction or failure of the equipment. The Sellers liability for any other loss or damage arising out of or connected with the manufacture or use of the equipment sold, including damage due to negligence, shall not in any event exceed the price of the equipment supplied by Seller.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

All orders are subject to acceptance by Seller at its Main Office. Stenographic and clerical errors are subject to correction. No oral or subsequent modification or any other foregoing general provisions or of any term or condition of any order shall be binding unless agreed to in writing by the Seller and Purchaser.
