X-PRESS ACCESSORIES

Evacuable pellet die sets are available from 10 to 40 mm diameter. Set includes evacuable die body, base, plunger, two polished steel pellets, O-ring vacuum seals, and knock-out ring for sample disk extraction.

Used with the Evacuable Pellet Die Set and any PrepAid® sample binder. Allows easy preparation of XRF disks with binder matrix supporting a layer of sample.

Paraffin and cellulose binders are ideal for samples which crumble or ablate after pressing. They blend quickly and completely with samples at 10-20% by weight to form XRF sample disks.

SPEC-CAPS®Shallow, thin-walled aluminum cap for reinforcing XRF pellets. Commonly used in the production of pressed power sample disks for XRF but also used for OES and other analytical techniques.

This 25-ton (22.7 metric ton) air-actuated laboratory pellet press accepts all standard pellet die sets. It is manually controlled and ideal for the repetitive pressing of sample pellets for XRF, IR, and other analytical techniques. Typical samples include Cement, Rocks, Minerals, Soils, Ceramics and Pharmaceuticals. Its compact design is ideally suited for laboratory bench top applications and it can be operated off an air compressor or a tank of compressed air.

Pressure is easily measured with a dial and the pressure control valve can be set to produce repetitive, reproducible pressures.
