AutoIT-NFVI and AutoIT-VNF Integration1

Feature ChangesIn previous software releases, the AutoIT-NFVI and AutoIT-VNF software modules were separate softwaremodules within UAS.

In order to reduce the number of VMs required for UAS software modules and to ensure API consistencyacross UAS modules, AutoIT-NFVI and AutoIT-VNF have been integrated together into a UAS role simplycalled AutoIT.

To facilitate this integration, AutoIT is now installed through a single script called boot_uas.py.

Using this script, AutoIT can be installed in the following scenarios:

• AutoIT deployment on bare metal (for VIM installation automation):

boot_uas.py --kvm --autoit

• AutoIT deployment on OpenStack (for existing deployments that did not leverage the VIM installationautomation process):

boot_uas.py --openstack --autoit --image <image_name> --net<orch_net_name>
