„autocut“ – Mode of operation:

1. Pivot the knife bank bar out and decide how many sharpening sequences are required. Pivot the knife bank back in again and enter the number of sharpening sequences at the control panel



2. Select „Start grinding procedure“ on the silage trailer control panel in the tractor - The knife bank and the cleaner are pivoted out of the working area of the ginder - The grinding mechanism is pivoted from the parked position into the working position via a pressure control sequence - After the sensors have detected that the mechanism is in the working position the grinding procedure starts on the left hand side of the first blade


„autocut“ – Mode of operation:3. The sharpening unit applies consistent pressure to all knives

completely automatically. The process is repeated depending on the number of sequences entered by the operator



4. After the sharpneing process has been completed, "autocut" moves into the parking position and the loader wagon is ready for operation.


Silver medal for „autocut“From more than 300 innovations for Agritechnica submitted to an independent jury of experts nominated by the DLG (German Agricultural Association), a total of 28 met the stringent criteria to be awarded Silver medals. One of which, was won by Pöttinger for the loader wagon automatic knife sharpening unit:
